Manhattan Fish Market @ Mid Valley

Boo~

Going to shopping malls during public holiday is a pain... Jam everywhere, hard to find a car park, shops packed with people, restaurants with long queues, sigh... One of those days when EdeNz and I went shopping in Mid Valley, that's what happened although Mid Valley is very big. =/ We reached around 3pm and wanted to have lunch but every single restaurant is full of people and some even have long queue waiting outside, scary...

Manhattan Fish Market at Mid Valley.

Fortunately, Manhattan Fish Market is not that packed, so we decided to eat there, our stomach is already growling. T_T We have been here quite a number of times, the place is not bad, decorated with fishing and related stuffs and the waiter and waitress are quite good as well. =)

Our table.

We ordered the Grilled Gala Platter (or something like that) for two and a Perfect Catch and another drink. This is the first time we are trying this as we normal go for the fried platter, so we were wondering how it will be... The drinks and soup came first, ice lemon tea, ice peach tea and chicken soup. =) You can actually refill your drinks if you wish, so it's quite worth it.

Chicken soup.

So far I have always love all the different soups served by them and this time the chicken soup tastes good as well, it has some chicken chunks in it too, really enjoyed it. XD

Yummy...

After a while, our main dish came, really big one in a squared metal plate. Inside the big plate, there are a piece of grilled fish fillet, four grilled prawns, grilled calamari rings and 4 grilled mussels together with chips and garlic rice. Look at it, so appetizing...

Three different sauces.

The best thing is the special sauces that come with it, garlic, chilli sauce and tartar sauce... Unlimited, you can just get more from the waiter if you needed, hehe... XD

Take a closer look.

So we started of with the fish, the meat is really sweet, it tasted good with lemon sauce which we put on it, together with tartar sauce. Yummy! Then we go on with the calamari rings, bouncy and juicy... Just nice. I can go on and keep eating them, really like the texture. =p The prawns looks delicious covered with some white sauce, hmm... The prawn is sweet and it has a nice smoked taste and it's really juicy... XD We also licked the shells clean, it's just so... delicious that we want more of it. Finally, the juicy mussels... Looks so good, tastes really good as well! Juicy and the sauce that came with it is really really nice, it would be perfect if you eat it with a bit of garlic. I wanna more mussels lol, four is not enough... T_T

No more.

In no time, we finished everything in the big plate, including the nice fragrance garlic rice and the chips... Everything tastes so good, it's actually much better than the chef recommended fried platter! Seriously, I think we gonna stick to this dish every time we go to Manhattan Fish Market. XD It's just too delicious... This is the first time we managed to finished every thing in the big plate after so long, imagine that... It's a must try if you happen to dine there!

Food & Tea @ Jusco Cheras Selatan

Boo~

Hong Kong restaurants are everywhere around the town, it's not very expensive and it's nicely decorated, perfect place to meet up, chit chat and enjoy some nice food. I believe everyone has been to some of these famous Hong Kong restaurants as well. =) This is one of them, Food & Tea, so far I know that they have branches at Taman Segar, near Leisure Mall, Times Square and Jusco Cheras Selatan which is the outlet EdeNz and I went to.

It's always full of people here, especially during lunch and dinner hours, people actually queued up there to get a place to eat. The shop is not big, but the restaurant's design utilize the space to the max, lol... Their menu is quite nice, various Hong Kong food from appetizers, snacks, sandwiches, porridge, noodles, rice to drinks and desserts... There are also pictures for most of the dishes, which I like the most... at least I could choose those dishes that looks delicious, instead of imagining them when looking through so many food at one time. XD

Apple Green Tea.

To start off, we ordered Apple Green Tea for our drink, it's quite big so we decided to share. The drink taste good, not too sweet and it has the nice fragance of apple, together with green tea, it's just perfect. =)

Food & Tea Sandwich.

Then, I was attracted by their nice sandwiches, so I ordered one Food & Tea sandwich which I supposed is their speciality. The sandwiches came together with some fries, but the fries is not really good because it's over-fried and not fresh. The sandwiches are good though, hehe... They have ham, vege, cheese, tomato, bacon and egg in it and they are cold when I eat it, so tasty. XD

Cheese Baked Rice.

EdeNz ordered cheese baked rice with chicken chop, which is something common in all Hong Kong restaurant. According to him, it tastes good and he finished it really fast, haha... It's either he was really hungry or the rice is just so nice that he keep eating and eating. It smells good when they serve it though.... XD

Cheese Baked Spaghetti.

I ordered chicken chop with cheese baked spaghetti and sweet corn sauce. XD Kinda wanna eat spaghetti that night... It took some time to bake I guess, because my dish came later than EdeNz's. It was delicious, hehe... I love it, lots of cheese, mixing with sweet corn sauce... =) The chicken is sweet as well, really appetizing and it's quite filling...

Both of us were full after that, haha... chat a while and finish the drink before leaving, we still see customers walking in and waiting for seats at that time, which is around 9pm? Wow, such a good business. XD

Totally Random...

Boo~

What a tiring day for me... Woke up around 7am then went out for interview today... Took LRT down KL, it's pretty confusing for a person like me who rarely uses the LRT, I actually need to spend some time looking where should I go to... =.= Anyways, the interview was okay and currently just waiting for their reply...

After I reached home, ate my lunch and sat down in front of my computer for the whole day... I don't know what I have been doing... Surf forums, blogs and stuff, the whole afternoon gone just like that, without me realizing... EdeNz came for dinner, we went to Jusco Cheras Selatan again... Not really in the mood to enjoy or relax, pretty emo today.

Here's some random pictures I took while hanging out, just feel that it's pretty nice and "Snap", I got these.

Christmas Day is supposed to be a religious celebration where Christian celebrates the birth of Jesus. Nowadays, it doesn't seem only that as everyone around the world enjoy the holiday, the snow, the environment, the atmosphere... Parties can be seen everywhere during the eve of Christmas and it's not just Christian having fun, perhaps it's much better to have more friends to celebrate such a meaningful day together and enjoy the long holiday until the next year.

It has been a trend for shopping malls to decorate their place with Christmas decorations and every year, it's done so nicely that you will enjoy walking around the mall, having the feelings of happiness and joy. =) This year, I have been taking photos of some decorations and display around a few shopping malls when I went out for shopping or movie, there are just so nice!

National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets

Boo~

Just happen to be busy for the entire week, wanted to update but I just couldn't find the time for it. =/ Last Thursday was a public holiday so I decided to go shopping and watch a movie in Mid Valley. I planned to watch Alwin and the Chipmunks which I didn't get to watch last time but when I saw National Treasure 2 that has just been released, I went for that instead. XD I check out the site and tried to buy tickets but it was full, while looking for other options, I found GSC Signature at The Gardens. It looks good, not too expensive and there are seats, so I got two tickets for EdeNz and me. =p

Book of Secrets is the second movie of Nation Treasure as titled, I fell in love with the first movie and this is one of the movies that I have waited so long to watch it. XD I love mysteries and puzzles, love to see how people solve them, love to learn the logics behind those stuff, just so wonderful...

The movie starts with introducing the characters all over again, it doesn't matter much if you didn't watch the first movie, hehe... Then, the story develops and problems start to show itself, thus the start of exploration! From one clue to the other, solving puzzles after puzzles, going through danger after dangers, it's just so exciting to see how the characters try their best to look for what they want. Jokes are also found in between, it really spies up the movie a lot, the cast are good, the story is great. =)

Both EdeNz and I enjoyed the entire movie, we would wanna watch it again, haha... It's just... nice! A must-watch movie, you really shouldn't skip this wonderful movie, I would really give a perfect score for this. XD Treasure hunting is so fun!

Another Outing

Boo~

I just came back from a job interview, they accepted me straight away, hehe... =p Now waiting for another interview on Wednesday and I will have to decide which company should I choose. Working life begins really soon!

Anyway, here's a short entry of an outing with my college friends 2 weeks back. After finishing the course back in September, I have never seen them since then, so we plan to meet up and have dinner and chit chat. I think Hon Yen did the organizing, invited everyone in the class, though some of them couldn't come, but it's nice to at least meet up with most of my friends.

The initial plan was to meet up at Mid Valley around 8pm, I reached there but no one is there yet. I walked around, there's lots of people around and everywhere is filled with Christmas decorations. Later on, I met Chang Lun and waited for Nak and Lizan to show up for dinner. We went to Carls Jr. since it's newly opened and quite tempting. XD

Although Carls Jr. is just another fast food restaurant, the price here is more expensive than other fast food outlets, around RM 20 to rm30, since the burger size is also much bigger than the other fast food restaurants. I ordered BBQ Chicken together with fries and a drink, the picture on the menu looks nice, haha...

The Burger, big?

Unwrap it...

Lots of fries!

The taste is nice but nothing special except for the size of the burger. My friends ordered some other burgers and all of them said it's good. =) The fries is nice as well, crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, love them... XD The drink is free-flow, but I only took Sprite, nothing much to talk about... You can try mixing everything and see how it taste like, haha...

After the meal, we went to Bangsar to meet up two more friends, Hon Yen and Swee Seng, which don't wanna come Mid Valley, we chatted for quite some time at some mamak shop there, most of them is already working, so I got quite some information from them. XD Around midnight, we paid the bills and went home. Nice outing, hope to see everyone again some time. =)

The Heartbreak Kid

Introduction: I have a new blog dedicated to my Ragnarok Online gaming and related stuff only, if you are interested, feel free to visit Sillie Days. =) I have also included the link at the Bloggies section, under the name Sillie.

Boo~

It's movie craze again, yup yup... This year end holiday seasons is full of nice movies, can't wait to watch them all. XD It has been a while since I visit the cinema...

Last Saturday, EdeNz and I were planning to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks but when we reached the cinema, I noticed that the movie will only be out on December 14th... =( So we looked around for other movies available, and then came down with two choices, Golden Compass or The Heartbreak Kid. I don't know why, both of us chose The Heartbreak Kid in the end, but oh well... Haha...

Ben Stiller's movie is always a comedy that makes you laugh up and down for his funny jokes, this movie is no exceptional. =p From the moment the movie starts until it ends, there are funny jokes, stupid actions and stuff, the cinema is filled with laughter. XD

Overall, the movie is about how Ben Stiller hunt for his love of his life, due to pressure from his dad and his best friends and everyone around him... When he finally decides to be serious and get married, he regretted that he didn't insist on being single, because he met someone he really love and she could get along with him well... The story goes on and jokes here and there... The ending is also a funny one, don't wanna spoil those who haven't watch it, so go watch it yourself and laugh! XD

I think it's a good comedy, but not as funny as I expected, jokes are there but it's just tiny bits here and there... Entertaining and relaxing, but not the best comedy movie around... I would give a 6.5/10 for this movie. =)

After watching the movie, I am really glad that we did not choose to watch Golden Compass as all my friends from different communities said the movie is not worth watching, except for Whitey. =_=" A friend also said that he was told that the movie is really bad and all but he insists on watching it, in the end he regretted that he didn't listen to the advise. =/ I wouldn't wanna waste my money on a movie with have such negative comments.

Next movie on my watching list would be Alvin and the Chipmunks, National Treasure: Book of Secrets and Alien vs. Preadator 2. So, if anyone wanna watch the listed movie with EdeNz and me, feel free to contact me. =)
