Waiting...

Boo~

I am still as busy as usual, this time is something related to my work, hopefully things will start to settle down next weekend. =) But today, something triggers some thoughts and memories of mine that I would really wanna talk/rant about...

Do you normally wait for people or you are the one who is always making other people to wait for you? I don't know how everyone feels but for me, waiting is very boring and I feel that the person or people I am waiting for is being disrespectful because the person is wasting my time, something that even money can't buy. I know sometimes something unexpected just came up, no one would have foreseen that so it's ok, it's just bad luck... But I have seen people that just refuse to be on time and let others wait for no reason, I hate that kind of people!

Excuses like traffic jams, cannot wake up, bla bla... are just too lame, those that like to use this excuses are brainless in my opinion, because if a person has a brain, a person would know (s)he should leave early to avoid jam during peak hours and to set alarm if (s)he can't wake up or just sleep early the night before and so on. Perhaps people that always come late for meetings and appointments doesn't feel the pain of waiting or it's just me that is too sensitive? Hmm...

I am sure every Malaysian is so used to "Malaysian Time" that everyone would naturally arrive 30 minutes or even 1 hour later than the agreed time and I don't understand why! I have no idea since when this culture exist and I don't have any clue why people purposely reach late and at times I tend to do that as well when I know those people that I am meeting does that to me because I don't want to ruin my mood just because I have to wait. This is annoying, isn't it?

Some of my close friends that always hang out with me have seen me emo for the entire outing just because someone is late and I am sure they know how bad I acted, but I can't help it... Time is very precious to me and I don't want to waste any time doing something pointless, especially now that I am craving for more time every single day. Perhaps some of you would say that I just have to get used to it and be part of the gang but sorry, I don't think I want to do that... I have my own principles and I definitely don't want to wait for someone or something that isn't worth my time. So next time, don't be late! XD

It's just some ranting, don't feel offended in any way, I am not taking about anyone in particular, I just feel like letting it out because some events that happened today triggers my thoughts...

Easter Egg Hunt on Fluff

Boo~

I was missing I know and I am back now lol... I have been so busy with so many things that I couldn't actually find a time to update my blog here... So before I sleep tonight, I should just update on what I have been doing lately I guess. XD

Most people should know Easter day is around the corner, I am not celebrating or anything, but there's an application on Facebook which I like, "Fluff Friends", which is having an event to hunt for easter eggs for our virtual pets... There's where I have been to for the entire week basically, looking for easter eggs which took so much of my time already...

I finally got all the rare eggs I wanted to find on Saturday, and got EdeNz another full set today and some extras which are available for trading, =p the event is ending tomorrow, luckily... Finally I can just rest and doing something else lol. I am totally into this egg hunting, it's just my attitude that I want to get everything out there for myself, a sense of achievement. XD

Other than being sticked to fluff, the rest of the time is spent for work and perhaps a little for the online project that I am working on right now... I have been neglecting RO for sometime already, that's how I feel... I really want to get back my normal life to have some time to actually relax and not stuck in front of the computer! Anyone has plans for short trips during weekends?

General Election 2008

Boo~

Supposed to write this entry earlier, but well, you should know by now I don't really have time to spare nowadays... Other than working, there's this project that I am involved in which took up a lot of my free time. =/ Hopefully everything goes well and by that time, you will know what it is all about. XD

Back to topic, a very interesting topic actually... It's the most interesting general election ever in the history of Malaysia simply because we as normal citizens finally have a real feel of what democracy is all about. In the past, the government party (BN) easily swept all the parliament seats and all the states government seats as well, except for Kelantan. However, we see a very big change this time where BN barely survive in getting enough seats to form the government, does this really mean that the people of Malaysia has finally open their eyes?

A lot of discussion are going on, a lot of scandals, a lot of news... So many that you don't really know who is telling the truth. One thing for sure, this election has proven a point that the people wants a government that can bring growth and prosperity to the country and for the people. Everyone is tired of having a government that invest millions of money for something that the country do not need and it does not do any good to the people as a whole.

I do remember seeing BN's posters during their campaign claiming that they have given us a secured place to live, so my question would be, how secured is our home when crime rate is increasing rapidly and the police force couldn't do anything about it? Having bunch of Mat Rempits on the highway during midnight waiting to "have fun" is secure? Lol. The election results has proven that the people are not stupid and brainless, we have eyes to see, we can feel and we are able to judge ourselves, whether the government is doing anything for us. In fact, the government has made all of us, regardless of races, so angry that we don't even care who is on the opposition, we just want to send a message across that we are angry, we hate the way you run the country!

No one has expected that half of the nation thought of teaching BN a lesson by giving their vote to the opposition at the same time, which results in giving 5 most developed states to them. It's too late to say anything since the results are out but we can surely look forward to see what both parties will do for us in order to gain our support. I am pretty sure that both parties will try their hardest to prove themselves because the nation has matured and we can now make our own decision to bring us what we want.

For BN, it's time to really think about the things you have done in the past and what will you do in the future. It's a very clear signal to you that we don't like the way you rule. We do hold the power to decide whether we still want you as our government or not.

For the opposition party, this is your golden chance that you have been waiting for, a chance to prove yourselves useful. You will never know if we might continue support you for the next election if you are really good and you can bring good to the country as a whole.

I place hope in this new government which is not so one sided now because I believe competition always bring improvements and if the ruling party does more for us, the people gain the most benefit and our country will become better. We shall see what is waiting for us in the future, everyone is excited to welcome the new government. =)

Vantage Point

Boo~

Just got back from work, so I thought of updating my blog before I start doing anything else, hehe... XD Last Saturday, EdeNz, Matt, Bombie and I went for a movie, Vantage Point at Mid Valley, because Matt wanted to buy some books, so we might as well go for movie while we were there hehe...

So we reached there around 12.30 and before meeting up Matt and Bombie, EdeNz and I bought half dozen donuts from the newly opened Big Apple, hehe, the donuts are so nice! Then, Matt arrived a bit later and after that we decided to go for lunch. XD I saw this new sushi shop opposite Big Apple, so I suggested that we go there and explore, and we did. The place has pretty cool design and all, the price is also very "pretty" lol... Everything there is quite pricey given that all the food served are of a good quality, way better than those normal sushi shops out there. We talked a lot and also spent a lot of time to decide on what to eat, have to take care of the budget as well. =p

Time passed by really fast, by the time we finish our meal it's almost time for the movie. Hehe, not really sure what movie it was at that time since it was EdeNz who say it's a nice movie. It is indeed a good movie, unique and interesting.

Cool poster, Vantage Point.

The movie started of with a scene where the President of USA is holding an anti-terrorism commit and it goes on until the President got shot halfway through the event. The special thing about this movie is that it repeats the entire scene from 6 different point of views and each view slowly reveals the plot behind the assassination.

The first view was from a new channel, the second is from a secret agent of the President, then followed by a local policeman and a US tourist, all of them show the chain of events on scene. Then the fifth view came from the President himself where he was sent back to the hotel and a double was sent out to the commit, however, the terrorist managed to figure out the plan and got the President kidnapped. The last view is from the leader of the group, how everything actually works and it's pretty cool to see how this guy uses technologies to help him in his plan.

It's really interesting and the way the movie portrays the story is unique and you get to pick up infos while looking at a different view, nice idea from the director. XD There are quite a lot of action scenes in the movie itself and it quite good, at least for me. The car chasing part is actually good, I like that scene, hehe...

It's not a very lengthy movie, it might get a bit boring when the scene of the assassination keep repeating but the story develops really well after that, I recommend everyone to watch this movie... 8/10. =)

After movie, we 4 went shopping, walking around Mid Valley and we actually did circled the whole Mid Valley lol... I bought a bag for myself from Voir, quite nice and I like it... Matt bought himself a wallet and books (that's the main reason we went to Mid Valley), Bombie bought a cover for his lovely iPhone... XD After having dinner at McD, we went home early because everyone needs to attend meeting at 9pm haha... Different meeting though. XD

Jump, Jump and Jump!

Boo~

Just last week, I got invited to join a little online project together with a few really nice friends, I am so excited and have been kind of busy with that, haha... That's why didn't really come to my own blog. XD I hope this project will be a success and I am sure to tell everyone about it when we launch it, stay tune!

EdeNz and I went to watch Jumper last Saturday, I have been wanting to watch this movie ever since I saw the trailer few months back, hehe... Love the visual effects in the trailer, it's really good. So before the movie is taken down from the screen, we got ourselves 2 tickets. =)

The poster itself is already so cool. =p

As the trailer has shown pretty much what the guy can do, jumps around, no matter how far it is! That's really cool, you can visit anywhere anytime you want, haha... Apparently, there are several people that have this special ability and they are named "Jumpers" and a group of people who named themselves "Paladins" who basically hunt down jumpers and kill them off, thinking that only God has the power to be anywhere anytime. XD

The movie is really nice, I love those visual effects and the storyline is good as well, it's not just any normal stories, there's some twists so it's nice and the good thing I like is the story is quite fast, not draggy but not too fast as well, just nice for sufficient story development. =) I would definitely recommend everyone to catch this movie, 8/10 hehe! XD

CNY: Back to KL...

Interesting News: On Valentine's Day, someone actually spent RM40,000 for a billboard advertisement to propose to his grilfriend. Wow! Romantic? Creative? Show off? Click to see the news article.

Boo~

These few days I have been so busy with stuff around that I have forgotten to update the last part of my CNY entry haha... This morning, I just went CNY visit again, this time with my colleagues. XD It's gonna be over soon, so better go visit all friends and relatives around to collect as much ang paus as possible! =p

So where did I stop? Hmm... The next morning I came back to KL with my uncle and cousins, they will be taking bus back to Penang from the KL bus station. We left Singapore around 7 and there's actually quite a number of people at the checkpoint already... Had breakfast after that and around noon, home sweet home! Hehe... I have been away for just 3 days but it feels so good to actually step inside my house again, felt relax and happy. Hehehe... Then we went for lunch at Tai Tung restaurant near my house, at Cheras Plaza... I didn't expect to see such a huge crowd there, seems like there's many people that stays in KL even during CNY time.

The table.

My mom and me ordered a few simple dishes and my brother took a few dim sums. The dim sum there is actually quite good but it's a bit pricey... Then after waiting for quite some time, they finally serve us our dishes, so hungry that time lol...

3 type of meat.

First dish is a mixture of roast chicken and roast pork, I don't really like roast pork so I didn;t try it but the roast chicken was ok, just normal... But the chilli sauce is very sweet, doesn't suit the taste of the roast chicken at all and it's not spicy as well. =(

Giant to fu. =p

Then we have a to fu dish, which is recommended by the waitress, it's really big piece of to fu and it's smooth. I think it is made with egg, quite nice, I love it together with the sauce. Yummy. XD Each person had one big piece as there are 8 of us in total...

Yam bowl with chicken!

Next up is a quite special dish which I don't really know what they call it in English, but it's a bowl filled with chicken inside. The bowl is made of fried yam, nice fragrance and crispy and the chicken is fried with dried chilli and cashew nuts, "kong po" style hehe... Love this dish as the chicken is really sweet, juicy and smooth... So nice that I actually ate a lot haha... =p The yam is good as well, my dad say this dish is one of the best among the chinese restaurants around town. So if you have the chance, go ahead and try it and you will love it. XD

Then we also ordered vegetables, balance diet is very important =p and of course white rice, haha... No pictures because nothing special but the vegetable is really sweet, love this kind of vege. XD Everyone felt so full after finishing everything, in fact we had to take some time to actually clear every single dish, lol... I felt satisfied and happy, what's more important than feeding your lovely stomach good food? =p

CNY Days in Singapore

Note: Anime List updated.

Boo~

On the first day of CNY, I woke up pretty late... around noon, hehe... I was too tired from everything on the previous night I guess. =p Well, due to limited car space, my cousins and I were asked to stay at home while the adults visit a relative which live in Singapore as well, not really close so I don't really bother... Might as well take this chance and get more sleep!

My dad came back and gave us 4 Ang Paus though, hahaha... In SGD. XD After everyone came back, we had lunch together at home and for the rest of the day, my cousins, my mom and I were watching the TV series, cotninue from last night. XD We don't really have much relatives in Singapore so that's why... Most of them are living nearby and all, collecting Ang Paus only take a few minutes without much visiting as everyone comes to visit my grandpa...

Around 10 something at night, we got too bored and feel like walking a bit, so we went down to the nearby McDonalds to have ice cream. =p Something really hilarious happened when we are ordering our McFlurry... As usual, we walked up to the counter and placed our order and wait for the staff to make the ice cream, then as we were chatting, we heard a sound of a container falling... The staff actually poured all the oreos out by somehow removing it's container from the tray on the ice cream machine, don't ask me how he did it. We were like =____= but that's not the funniest part yet... Then the staff quickly ran to the back to get cloth or something to clean up and called the store manager. At that time I noticed that the switch on the ice cream machine is turned on without having any cup below it... So the ice cream keep flowing out, turning and turning... While both the staff and the manager is trying to clean up the oreos on the floo and the table, we all keep giggling after seeing that, ahahhaha... After some time, the manager finally realized that a lot of ice cream has been wasted...

It looks like this when the manager finally turn off the switch.

It was so funny that we tried our best not to laugh but still wanna laugh, lol... Anyway, I bet the staff is very nervous and all he ended up giving us our Oreo before even stirring it. =/ Bad day for the staff but it made our day as we really cannot resist laughing and talking about it after that. XD

After the funny ice cream session, everyone went back and sleep. ^_^ It's quite tiring even though we didn't do much, well watching TV for long hours actually strains my eyes a lot... I woke up around the same time on the second day as well, this time we all are going out to a nearby restaurant for lunch.

We reached the restaurant around noon which is quite early but the restaurant is already packed with people, luckily my aunt went there first and got us a place... The restaurant is quite small, by the road side and without aircond, lucky it isn't too hot that day. We all sat at a very long tables as the restaurant doesn't have round tables, to save spaces I think. =p

The menu.

My aunt ordered a few simple Chinese dishes and drinks, since there are so many people eating and waiting, I bet it's gonna be good. XD

Half chicken here.

The first dish we have is steam chicken, which is one of their famous dishes I think... It's nice, the meat is soft and sweet and juicy as well, eat together with their chili sauce, really nice... Oh, their chili sauce is really hot that I was surprised, normally chili sauce from chicken rice is not spicy at all and I always put a lot.

Tofu, looks delicious?

Then they served the to fu, as you can see it's covered with lots of sauce which has lots of eggs in it, really nice smell... The to fu they used is Japanese to fu so it's smooth, this dish is just normal for me but I like the sauce... XD

Pork ribs, my favorite...

Then here comes another specialty, pork ribs with a very special sauce. It's served in long pieces with mini fried buns, nice decoration hehe... I love this dish although I seldom like to eat pork ribs, the sauce that covered the ribs is really really nice, it has a very strong taste but not too salty, just nice and it's best when ate with rice... The small buns are fluffy inside and very crispy outside with a slight fragrance. =p I enjoyed this dish the most for this meal.

Kangkung, very spicy!

We had vegetables as well, kangkung with belacan. It's very spicy as commented by everyone, it sure has lots of chili padi inside lol... The taste is good to me, not too satly and the vege is fresh as it had sweetness in it and it's crunchy.

Pyramid rice.

The rice is is kinda special, normally rice are served either in a bowl shape or just a plate of scattered rice but this shop has pyramid-shaped rice! Hehe... special right? I wonder what kind of mold they use to do that... =p

Nice soup.

Lastly, my aunt ordered a soup as well, something like sharks fin but not excatly sharks fin, some seafood soup as well. It's nice although I don't know what is inside, I know there's egg and scallop, can see haha... This soup taste way nicer than the sharks fin soup we had for reunion dinner.

Everyone enjoyed the lunch, satisfied as well with only half the price of the reunion dinner, this really proved how bad is the previous restaurant. Too bad that this restaurant closes during CNY eve, if not we would probably come here for a good reunion dinner. =)

After lunch, we went to Cold Storage to get some ice cream and chocolates as snacks then went back home to finish up the TV series... We managed to finish it by night, after dinner, haha... 20 episodes all together, quite nice. XD After that, hand around for a while, drank some tea and finally go to sleep... Waking up early again to go back KL, can't wait... Staying in Singapore is really killing me, lol.

Continue with Back to KL trip tomorrow, wanna sleep now. =p

^StarrY^

My Reunion Dinner

Boo~

I woke up around 4 am that day, left my house with my family for Singapore at 5 then reached the border check point around 9.30 am... After having breakfast and all, finally reached my relative's house around 11am, so sleepy...

Played cards until lunch, not gambling though... XD After lunch, it was pretty boring because there's nothing to do so my cousins and I watched TV until evening... We went to the restaurant around 5.30pm for reunion dinner, so early! The dinner is booked from 5pm to 7pm actually... =_="

Our table, so red.

Anyway, there are actually quite a lot people there already, so we sat down, chit chat a while and wait for the waitress to serve us. The restaurant is not those high class places, just a community hall with tables and chairs and some chinese new year decorations around...

Yee Sang, so messy lol...

The first dish is of course the Yee Sang, a traditional dish that everyone will have before actually having the reunion dinner. It's a simply ceremony to wish for good luck and stuff... The Yee Sang is pretty big and we all had fun stirring it lol. XD It is not very nice though, too much vegetables, too little sauce and peanuts, we didn't finish everything...

The dishes.

More dishes.

Then the normal sharks fun soup came, the waitress put them into small bowls for us. No sharks fins seen in the soup, very watery when I drink it... No taste at all, not salty, no nice smell, nothing... *shakes head* Didn't really want to finish it but forced to... =(

Next is the fish, quite good looking but it doesn't taste good as well... I bet the fish has been frozen for quite a long time because the sweetness isn't there anymore, lucky the sauce is not too bad, still consider ok if eaten with sauce. I had better fishes with a much cheaper price in KL...

Prawns are up next, fried prawns with cereal, quite special, my first time seeing it... I don't really like prawns and I don't like cereal at all so I skipped this dish, others said it was ok so I guess this isn't too bad, everyone managed to finish up all the prawns as well.

After that, the pork leg is here, this dish is the best of all I think, I ate quite a bit since I haven't been eating much for the first few dishes... The veges beside the pork meat is good as well, we all finished this quite fast...

At the same time, they brought us sea cucumber with abalone and mushroom and vegetables which I think it's just so-so, nothing special about this dish and the taste is quite plain as well... The vegetables are quite crunchy though.

The last dish before dessert was steam rice in lotus leaf, the look is really nice and there's a slight fragrance when we open up the leaf... Too bad that the rice is almost tasteless, I think the chef forgotten to add salt or soy sauce... =___=

Dessert which suppose to be the easiest to prepare also disappointed me, the honey dew sago doesn't have any sense of sweetness at all, is sugar very expensive now? *sigh* All I can taste is the santan and it isn't cold at all... Didn't finish the dessert as it's really bad, no mood already...

Bad reunion dinner, don't really understand why they wanna spend so much for these sucky dishes, last year was the same as well, I don't really wanna eat here again next year. T_T My other relatives at another tables seems to enjoy the meal as I can see that they finished every single dish which we didn't, if these dishes are considered as tasty to them, I am really speechless...

After the dinner we went back home and continue with our TV series until night, such a boring CNY eve... I slept quite early that night because I was too bored and feeling tired, after all I woke up so early on the day...

Next entry will be about my CNY days in Singapore, I suppose it will be more interesting although there isn't any special stuff, just look forward to it. =p

Happy Chinese New Year!

Note: This post is future-dated as I won't be able to online and update my blog during CNY. Enjoy!

Boo~

Chinese New Year is the biggest festive season for all Chinese, as it symbolizes the start of a brand new year of the lunar calendar. There's a lot of traditions and celebrations for this important festival which actually last for 15 days during the older days... Although we don't eat and play for 15 days right now but there's still so many events and celebrations around during Chinese New Year. XD

Just like the previous years, I will be going to Singapore to visit my grandfather and other relatives there to celebrate CNY, it sounds fun but it isn't actually... =( It's pretty hard to explain but it's not a pure vacation trip... I do hope there will be stuffs to do for the 4 days I am there, if not I am gonna bored to death.

Before I leave at 5 a.m. later, here's some random photos I took from shopping malls, various places with different decorations... Pretty nice to see. XD

A bridge, setup at Jusco Cheras Selatan, there's stalls selling CNY stuffs in front of the stage. It's a fake bridge so no people can walk on it lol...

Giant squared vase, a lot of 银柳 (I think it's typed this way and I don't know what they call this in English) at The Gardens, Mid Valley... Very nice, there are lots more around the stage, I guess there are some musical performance at certain times since there's quite a few traditional musical instruments on the stage.

Mid Valley Center Court stage... As usual, lots of people are gathering around the area, some performance or fashion show is going on I think, everyone just stand there and wait, really hard to actually get to the front or even take a nice photo lol.

Sunway Pyramid stage, pinkish... There are having some traditional dance performance when I was there but the place is full of people...

Saw this big flower from the top floor, pretty nice isn't it? There are a few more of these around the area, surrounding the stage. It's really nice when I looked at it from the top floor, I guess it will not be as nice if I were to look at it at the same floor since it's so big.

Lastly, I would like to wish everyone Happy Chinese New Year and all the best in the Year of Rat. =) Enjoy your holidays with all your friends and family, feel free to ask me out as well!

Sushi Groove @ Sunway Pyramid

Boo~

Before going off to Singapore for Chinese New Year, here's another sushi experience, this time at Sushi Groove in Sunway Pyramid. The shop is located opposite J Co. Donuts which is at the new wing, not very big shop but the entrnace is quite special which tickles my curiosity, last Saturday EdeNz and I decided to give it a try. XD

Sushi Groove's menu.

As the shop name sounds, this shop isn't traditional and typical like how a normal Japanese restaurant should look like... It's pretty dark inside the shop, something like a pub... The decorations are pretty modern and cool, looks young and casual... It has a few very long tables which is shared by all the customers, that's one of their groovy concept lol...

Long table...

Feel greeny?

This shop is full of green color stuffs, cup, sauce plate, chopsticks, menu... There isn't any Kaiten belt as well so we actually have to place an order by looking at the menu. Their menu is pretty cool as well, cool names for their dishes lol... Just that it doesn't have as much choices as some other Japanese restaurants out there.

Dynamite Ball, boom!

We started off with Dynamite Ball, it is ball shaped topped with fish roe and some sauce... Pretty special as I have never eaten anything similar before, it's actually quite crunchy, both the rice and the fish roe. It's good together with wasabi. XD

Tobiko.

Then we have our normal fish roe sushi, hehe... This is one of our favourite, won't miss this whenever we go for Japanese food. The fish roe here is not juicy, it's chruchy instead... weird right? Normally fish roe should be juicy... Anyway, it tastes good as well, won't lose to any ordinary fish roe sushi out there...

Dragon Delight, yum yum~

Miso soup, there's "la-la" inside...

Next, here comes our Dragon Delight bento together with miso soup. The bento does not contain any rice or normal dishes, it's just sushi and some appetizer, quite special. XD All of them tastes good, the salmon is really soft and juicy, melts in your mouth together with the rice... The feeling is so nice that I wish that they gave us more... The sushi roll topped with avacado is nice, though the taste is a bit normal compared to others while the sushi roll topped with egg and fish roe has a strong taste, mixed with salmon skin and unagi... A totallly different sensation! We enjoyed the bento, eating the sushi piece by piece, it's actually good to share as we get to eat more stuff and won't get full so easily. =p

Temaki...

We continue our exploration with salmon temaki, their salmon mixed with a sauce and then wrapped, the taste is good but it seems that the seaweed isn't that fresh as it's not crispy when we eat it.

Baby Dragon... Which is the head and which is the tail?

Before we leave, we ordered Baby Dragon Roll, it looks so nice on the menu and it's tempting me. =p Well, it's a mixed of a lot of stuff inside the roll, shrimps, unagi, salmon skin... A rich taste! I love this dish, nice to see and nice to eat haha... XD

We both were so full after eating everything, drank some tea to help digestion. =p A pretty special experience for me I would say, but the price here is a bit too expensive that I would rather eat at other high class Japanese restaurant than here, I would have got much more varieties to choose from. It would be a really nice place to hang out if only the price could reduce a little. =p

After lunch, we went shopping and walk around Pyramid and there's lots of stuff going on that day, I will talk about those in another post, probably after CNY since I won't be around until Saturday. =)

CNY Dinner - Tray Vegetables

Boo~

Chinese new year is here soon, one way people celebrate this wonderful festive season is by having dinner with friends and family. Last week I joined my colleagues for a CNY dinner at some Chinese restaurant in One Utama, forgotten the name lol... XD

Our table...

Before the actual meal, we had a "Lou Yee Sang" session which is also some traditional things to do which can bring good luck and prosperity in the new year. It's a kind of appetizer I guess, with those vege, salmon, crispy stuff... Not too sure of the ingredients but it tastes good, hehe...

Bring more good luck to us~

After that, here comes the main dish, we have only 1 dish that night which is called 盘菜, translated as "Tray Vegetables" which is actually a big pot that contains all kinds of meat, seafood and vegetables... For the dinner, we had abalone, prawn, sea cucumber, mushroom, vege, yam, taufu skin and lots more, together with the sauce served in a big clay pot on a stove.

Lots of nice stuff!

This is my first time hearing and seeing such a dish and also my first time tasting it, I would say it's pretty good. =) The taste is a bit strong if eaten neat, it goes really well with rice though. XD Some of my colleagues says the taste is a bit dull since the dish has only 1 taste for all the ingredients in the pot, haha... I guess this is personal preference, some like to have different tastes from various dishes and also more meat compared to vege and seafood... I love the abalone, the prawn, the sea cucumber, the yam... Hehe, taste really good. XD

Everyone is pretty full after eating, we didn't manage to finish up everything and the girl's table actually ate more than the guy's table. =p We also had fun chatting and listening to jokes, haha... Laugh a lot that night and had lots of fun. Everyone went back home after dinner which is quite surprising to me, I thought everyone will want to go have fun somewhere else, haha... Quite tired that night though, afterall it has been whole day I am out. Thank Yi Ying for fetching me to the dinner and back home though. =)

Outing and Movie - Mad Money

Boo~

It's been a bad day, having slight headache today because I slept too much I think. =( Before I goes to bed and go back to work again, better update my blog before I forgets everything. XD

It's a rather sudden decision that Denster, Menzo, EdeNz, Matt, Bombie and I meet up on Saturday for dinner and movie, we all thought that the outing was canceled because EdeNz don't want to organize it. =p Oh well, I am glad that we made it, it's so nice to meet up and catch up on things, after all we don't really meet each other often anymore ever since most of us left Blueserver.

Woke up around 10 something on Saturday and went to APIIT to collect my certificate, finally I got it, haha... Not that it's very important right now but this piece of paper cost almost 50k, so I must go and get it somehow... I meet up with my classmates, it's been a while, good to see everyone again. XD After collecting our certs, we went for lunch nearby, everyone seems to be happy and doing fine, that's great. =)

After lunch, EdeNz and I went to Mid Valley, we reach there around 2pm, walk around and I bought 2 pair of shoes, 1 for casual outing which is very cute, I love it and another for working. Hehe... No photos now, can't show... =( After that we meet up with the rest around 5 and start planning on how to spend the night. We have decided to go for movie after dinner, so we had to queue up for tickets, it's a loooong queue, lol and we gonna watch a movie named "Mad Money". XD

Then we went to arcade for a while, EdeNz always play Time Crisis 4 whenever we are there, after watching so many times, it's pretty boring right now, lol... After that, we went to Kenny Rogers for dinner because I have coupons to get 1 free meal when we order 2 meals. XD It was crowded and we actually have to wait for a seat, which I don't normally... I would have gone to somewhere else if not because of the coupons... Luckily we don't have to wait that long...

For the rest of the 2 hours, we ate, chat and drink... We talked about a lot of stuff, mainly about Blueserver though, I recalled a lot of things happened back then as we were chatting... Although things ended pretty bad, but I cannot deny that I had lots of fun when I was there, being a GM and a player... I had lots of good memories, all the fun time we had... Thinking about them puts a smile on my face. Things changed and it's impossible to turn back time, we just have to accept that and move on and I believe it won't be possible for all of us to go back to the older days anymore at the current situation.

Around 9, we went to the cinema and bought some snacks and drinks then it's time to enjoy the movie. =) Mad Money is a comedy which I don't really know what is it about when I decided to go for it, just because I saw the poster and I think it would be good, haha...

So the movie talks about how 3 very ordinary women came up with the idea of stealing money from the bank, old money which is supposed to be destroyed... They succeeded and they did it continuously for 3 years, just imagine how much money that they actually stole! Wow... Finally, someone starts to suspect and investigate on them, but in the end no one manage to figure out how those 3 women taking money out of the bank which is supposed to be 100% secured and the alarm didn't even rang... Their plan is really brilliant and perfect, seriously salute the person who thought of that haha... The movie is really funny as well, keep laughing. XD Go ahead and watch this movie if you want some good laugh, 8/10 for this...

After movie, it's already quite late so we went back home... XD I think Denster is planning another gathering next week, looking forward to it, hehe...

Cloverfield

Boo~

I wanted to update my blog earlier, have a few things that I wish to write about, just couldn't find time for it, sad... Weekends seems to be the only option for me to blog now, but my weekends is always filled with plans to do this and that, in the end, I don't really have much free time to do things I want to do... =(

Anyway, today is a holiday for me, so lucky that the government decided to declare Thaipusam as WP's public holiday too. XD I slept till noon, after so many days of not sleeping enough... Then EdeNz came to my house for lunch and we went Jusco for movie and to shop for some stuff. We haven't really decided what to watch yet, but just wanna catch up on the movies. =)

When we reached, there isn't much people queuing up, which is good for us and we narrowed our choices down to Cloverfield and In the Name of the King. In the end EdeNz chose Cloverfield, ask him why, haha... The movie is... kinda special, if you read any review or synopsis, you should know that this movie is entirely filmed on a hand-held video cam. This make the entire movie so shaky and it makes me feel dizzy watching it. =( I didn't know this beforehand and I was wondering what it means by "The movie might cause dizziness and headache to the audience." when the staff at the ticket counter told us that.

The movie basically shows how a gang of friends tried to run and survive from a mysterious attack from some dinosaur-like creature that attacked the city during their farewell party night. They didn't reveal any information about the creature or what happened to the city after that, so I guess there might be a continuation for this movie, since there's so many mysteries unsolved. There is also a hidden ending after the credits, which we missed. =( Hopefully if there's another part of this movie, it won't be another film from a hand-held cam, I really wanna know the story but don't wanna go through the dizziness again.

Somehow, we both feel that this is similar to AvP, since it's also about creatures attacking humans and military actually got involved but still couldn't take down the creature, and it shows how people trying to run away and stuff... Well, if you like that kind of movie, go for it... It's not that gory but it's interesting. I would give a 6.5/10 for this movie, minus a bit points for making dizzy! XD Hehe...

Bloons Tower Defense

Boo~

EdeNz introduced me a tower defense game today, play using flash on browser... So, when you are bored or something, just go waste some time popping balloons lol... The tower defense is named bloons tower defense, don't ask me why, maybe bloons sounds cuter than balloons. =p

Bloons Tower Defense 1

Bloons Tower Defense 2

Anyway, here's the link for the game, Bloons TD 1 and Bloons TD 2. Try the first version and win it before moving on to the second one, it says the second one is much tougher. Both the versions has 50 levels. XD You can also google for it, a few free game hosters has it installed, so the links I place here is just one of it.

Win. =) By EdeNz.

I have yet to win the game, just played a few times, testing here and there... Will continue to explore when I am done with all my stuffs. Hehe...EdeNz won it though, the first version. =) It was fun, I love tower defense games.

Holiday! Time for Alien vs. Predator 2

Boo~

Public holidays mean so much to me now, haha... Working for just a week made me realise how hard it is to actually work, wake up in the morning, go to work, come back home, eat dinner and sleep. That's what I do everyday of my working life, I don't have much spare time, just an hour or two to catch up my personal stuffs like blogs, forums, games, mails... I start to miss my holidays already...

Some portraits on the wall of KFC.

Luckily, today is a public holiday, it helps me a lot... give me some time to rest! I woke up at noon, wait for EdeNz to come over as we planned to watch AvP 2 today. We went to Jusco Cheras Selatan, near and no jam, lol... Had lunch there as well... EdeNz ate KFC and tempted me to eat as well... Since I have eaten my lunch at home, so I decided to have KFC for dinner haha... EdeNz said he don't mind, never get bored of KFC's fried chicken. XD While waiting for him to finish up his chicken, I ate waffle and took some photos... Hehe, suddenly I am addicted to taking photos already, just like to simply snap and snap, sometimes you could see some amazing stuffs!

Yum yum...

I wonder why recently I love to eat KFC, since last week, I have been choosing to have KFC if I had the chance, which I normally don't. Hmm, the chicken is so tempting and tasty, never had enough even though my stomach is full. We did end up in KFC for dinner as well and both of us enjoyed the meal a lot, simple but nice. =)

Alien vs Predator 2.

Then, we watched AvP 2 as planned. The movie is a sequel from AvP which was dam nice when I watched it, so long ago I couldn't really remember when. XD So, if you could remember where the story stops, it starts from there, how aliens ended up on Earth again, this time taking more innocent lives. Telling too much will spoil the story but the predator was imba, can fight so many aliens together...

The movie is quite ok, but with more gory scenes than the previous one... The storyline is so-so, there's a twister at the end of the movie, probably we can expect another sequel from there. I would rate this movie 6.5/10, not boring, not very interesting... Mainly focus on actions since there's lots of fight, very cruel because many innocent lives were taken away.... Watch it if you like these stuff, but if you expect a good story, then I suppose you will be disappointed as it's quite straight forward for the entire show. XD

Spent the entire day outside, I had fun... I missed these kind of days, going out, eating nice food and all... Hmm, maybe I made the wrong choice to start working as I wasn't really prepared for the change? I don't know but since I have taken this path, I will just bare with it and see how things go...

When is the next public holiday? Lol.

Exhausted Star...

Boo~

I am quite blur right now, just very tired physically... I need some time to get used to the working life, wake up early, use my brain from morning till evening, sleep early... Sigh, this 2 days has been really hard for me... I hope I can get use to this as soon as possible, don't wanna suffer so much.

There's lots of things to learn, to know about the company itself, since it's a global one and a very big one, lol... Just all the history, procedures, policies, culture, etc... already making my head grow so big... So much information, which is impossible to remember or understand them all in just 2 days. =/ Well, I got assigned to a project already, will start the real work next week... Got a new laptop from the company as well, pretty cool... XD But very heavy and lots of hassle to carry it around all the time. Haha!

I can foresee a very very busy life ahead, so I guess there will be less outings, less interesting food entries... Argh! Let's see how it goes, I do hope I can at least have a little time to enjoy my personal life, working day and night is really gonna kill me.

Alright, I need to sleep already, really wanna have a day which I can sleep until I am satisfied, I need to recover back my sleep time! =(

New Year, New Look.

Boo~

I know I have just updated my blog not too long ago and now I am posting again, lol... Well, just wanna write up a summary of some changes that I have done for my lovely blog. XD

Blue Stars.

First thing that everyone will notice is my template, it changed again... If you have read my blog long enough, this template would be familiar to you, yup... Last year before the Snowman template, I have been using the same template for a very long time. Just that now it's in blue instead of yellow which it used to be. Actually, this template is originally pink, you can actually get it very easily here, named Rawk. I love the banner which has nice stars, so I just took it and modified the image and the CSS codes myself. =p

New Blue Chattie.

Next thing that I have changed is the chat box. Sometime ago, my friends introduced me cbox, another similar chat box tool like the one I had with Flooble. I wanted to change it for quite some time already, just didn't do it so might as well change it now when I revamp the blog skin. This new cbox looks much neater as it has its own formatting which can be set by me on their website, it's better that way, it doesn't mess up my blog and it definitely look nicer than the Flooble chat box. XD

Clockie - New member of HiddeN Star.

Then, I added a new cute clock in my sidebar discovered by Matt sometime back. It's really cute and fun to play with. You can click on the little sleepy girl and she will wake up and tell you the current time, in Japanese though. XD Then, you can also make her sing a cute song by clicking on the music note at the side. Just play around when you are too bored, haha...

All these thing took me the whole night, from 10pm onwards. Changing the chat box and adding the clock is easy but changing the template is really a pain. =/ I practically messed up my original XML template by changing lots of stuff previously for my snowman template, so I had to redo the whole template, sort out my CSS one by one all over again. It took me a while but finally it's done, hehe... Such a nice satisfaction!

Lastly, this is my 100th post for HiddeN Star, congrats to myself. =)

Happy 2008!

Boo~

Most people should already be somewhere out there, playing with friends or family, having fun, gathering, waiting for the new year to come... I don't really like crowded place, I don't really wanna spend time on the roads or anywhere just because of jams and road blocks, so I decided to stay at home tonight. Every year there's a countdown, it's always fireworks, performance, party and such, I have been to such place during this occasion, this year, I am just gonna have a peaceful countdown at home, with my family. =)

Fireworks. =)

People often reflect and think about what they have done or achieved over the year at this time, measuring whether this year is spent wisely. To me, I believe so far I have chose to live a life I want to, though there are up and downs sometimes, restrictions from many factors... but overall, I am happy for what I have gone through up till today. Life is never perfect and smooth and will never be, challenges come by to make me grow, and there are more waiting for me, I know... =)

365 Days, 52 Weeks of 2008.

So, year 2008, a very nice number indeed... What do I expect in this new year? I have yet to think about this... However, I do know clearly that my life is gonna change, I am stepping into the next stage of my life, to explore and live as a working individual, earning a living for myself. XD My relaxing and enjoyable studying life has come to an end since September 2007, been through a lot since then, thought about my purpose of life so many times... Maybe some people out there loves to do something special, to be extraordinary... but I think I shall listen to all the advices and nagging, move on and start working, maybe that's what I am suppose to do.

A new year wish can be also treated as my aim, perhaps I should have one. =p I do want a lot of stuff which requires lots and lots of money, lol... But more importantly, I do wish that I could lead a happy life throughout the year, overcome all the obstacles and learn some valuable experience. I do hope everyone around me can be happy and get what they want, so that I can be happy for them as well. XD

Happy New Year and Welcome to 2008!

Manhattan Fish Market @ Mid Valley

Boo~

Going to shopping malls during public holiday is a pain... Jam everywhere, hard to find a car park, shops packed with people, restaurants with long queues, sigh... One of those days when EdeNz and I went shopping in Mid Valley, that's what happened although Mid Valley is very big. =/ We reached around 3pm and wanted to have lunch but every single restaurant is full of people and some even have long queue waiting outside, scary...

Manhattan Fish Market at Mid Valley.

Fortunately, Manhattan Fish Market is not that packed, so we decided to eat there, our stomach is already growling. T_T We have been here quite a number of times, the place is not bad, decorated with fishing and related stuffs and the waiter and waitress are quite good as well. =)

Our table.

We ordered the Grilled Gala Platter (or something like that) for two and a Perfect Catch and another drink. This is the first time we are trying this as we normal go for the fried platter, so we were wondering how it will be... The drinks and soup came first, ice lemon tea, ice peach tea and chicken soup. =) You can actually refill your drinks if you wish, so it's quite worth it.

Chicken soup.

So far I have always love all the different soups served by them and this time the chicken soup tastes good as well, it has some chicken chunks in it too, really enjoyed it. XD

Yummy...

After a while, our main dish came, really big one in a squared metal plate. Inside the big plate, there are a piece of grilled fish fillet, four grilled prawns, grilled calamari rings and 4 grilled mussels together with chips and garlic rice. Look at it, so appetizing...

Three different sauces.

The best thing is the special sauces that come with it, garlic, chilli sauce and tartar sauce... Unlimited, you can just get more from the waiter if you needed, hehe... XD

Take a closer look.

So we started of with the fish, the meat is really sweet, it tasted good with lemon sauce which we put on it, together with tartar sauce. Yummy! Then we go on with the calamari rings, bouncy and juicy... Just nice. I can go on and keep eating them, really like the texture. =p The prawns looks delicious covered with some white sauce, hmm... The prawn is sweet and it has a nice smoked taste and it's really juicy... XD We also licked the shells clean, it's just so... delicious that we want more of it. Finally, the juicy mussels... Looks so good, tastes really good as well! Juicy and the sauce that came with it is really really nice, it would be perfect if you eat it with a bit of garlic. I wanna more mussels lol, four is not enough... T_T

No more.

In no time, we finished everything in the big plate, including the nice fragrance garlic rice and the chips... Everything tastes so good, it's actually much better than the chef recommended fried platter! Seriously, I think we gonna stick to this dish every time we go to Manhattan Fish Market. XD It's just too delicious... This is the first time we managed to finished every thing in the big plate after so long, imagine that... It's a must try if you happen to dine there!
