Seaweed Biscuit

Ingredients

spring roll skin sheets
flavored seaweed sheets
eggs, beaten

* amount can vary depending on how much you want to make, 1 sheet will make around 12 pieces.

Instructions

Prepare cooking pan and oil for deep frying.
Spread a thin layer of beaten egg on top of a spring roll skin.
Attach a seaweed sheet to the skin and press lightly.
Repeat these steps until all spring roll skin sheets and seaweed sheets are used up.
Cut the sheets into smaller pieces, around 2 inches in width and height.
Deep fry them until light brown or crispy.
Store in air tight container when cold.

Notes

If not using flavored seaweed sheets, add salt and pepper to egg for taste.
On the first try, test the oil with 1 or 2 pieces to get the timing on frying the biscuit, they turn brown pretty quick.

This is a really nice snack for Chinese New Year. It's crispy and light, tastes really good with the seaweed and it's fragrant too. It's easy to make thus a very good gift for friends and family. Try it out and you will definitely love it!

Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
For Cake

125g butter
2 tbsp. cocoa powder
½ cup milk
2 eggs
150g caster sugar
130g self raising flour

For Icing

1 cup icing sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa powder
20g butter
2 tbsp. boiling water

Instructions
For Cake

Combine butter, cocoa powder and milk in a saucepan, stir mixture under low heat until butter is melted.
Grease cake pan and preheat oven to 180°C.
Beat eggs until creamy, gradually add in sugar and mix well.
Fold in self raising flour and cocoa mixture.
Pour mixture into cake pan and bake for 35 minutes.
Cool cake for 5 minutes and place cake on a wire rack for icing.

For Icing

Combine butter and cocoa powder.
Stir well with boiling water until smooth.
Pour mixture over the cake when ready.

Notes

Feel free to add more cocoa powder for a richer taste and firmer texture.

Fluffy Chocolate Cake

Cake turns out very nice, I added extra cocoa and it turns out to be really nice with the rich chocolate taste and it's a lot less sweeter too. The texture of the cake is just nice, it is not too dry but hold wells and will not crumble easily.

Sugar Cookies / Butter Cookies

Ingredients

170g butter
1 cup castor sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 ½ cups flour
1 pinch salt
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat oven to 190°C.
Prepare a few cookie sheets.
Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add in salt and vanilla extract and mix evenly.
Use a spatula to mix in the beaten egg.
Put all flour in and make a firm dough.
Chill dough in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Roll out dough to ¼ inch thickness and cut with cookie cutters.
Bake cookies on cookie sheets for 12 to 15 minutes, or until cookies turn light brown.
Remove cookies from oven and place on cooling rack.

Notes

Replace vanilla extract with other flavors to make different type of cookies.
Add smarties or other decorations if desired before baking, or decorate cookies after baking with icing.

Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake

Ingredients
For Crust

200g cracker crumbs
100g butter, melted

For Filling

750g cream cheese, soften
400ml condensed milk
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
340g chocolate chips, melted

Instructions
For Crust

Mix cracker crumbs and melted butter together.
Place mixture firmly at the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.

For Filling

Preheat oven at 150°C.
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor, mix until smooth.
Pour filling onto the prepared crust.
Bake cake at 150°C for an hour.
Let cake cool at room temperature.
Refrigerate cheesecake overnight before removing from cake pan.
Add decorations as you like.

Notes

For bittersweet taste, try using unsweetened chocolate instead.

Chocolate Cupcakes

Ingredients

1¼ cups milk
1tsp. white vinegar
1¾ cups all purpose flour
1½ cups sugar
⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa
1tsp. baking powder
½tsp. baking soda
¼tsp. salt
170g butter, soften and cut up
2 eggs
1tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°C.
Combine milk and vinegar and leave aside for 5 minutes.
Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a large mixing bowl.
Beat in butter at low speed until mixture is crumbly.
Add in milk mixture, eggs and vanilla extract, beat at medium speed for 3 minutes.
Spoon batter into cups and bake for 20 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched.
Remove cupcakes from oven and cool completely.

Notes

There's white frosting in the recipe but I did not make them, refer to the link below for frosting ingredients and instructions if you want to add them.
There's a conversion calculator on this recipe site if you want the measurements in grams, link here.
Cupcakes will crack if over baked, be careful on the timing.

Cotton Soft Japanese Cheesecake

Ingredients

140g castor sugar
6 egg whites
6 eggs yolks
1/4tsp. cream of tartar
50g butter
250g cream cheese
100ml fresh milk
1tbsp. lemon juice
60g cake flour / superfine flour
20g corn flour
1/4tsp. salt

Instructions

Lightly grease and line the bottom and sides of a cake pan and preheat oven to 160°C.
Melt cream cheese, butter and milk over a double boiler. Cool the mixture. Fold in the cake flour, corn flour, egg yolks, lemon juice and mix well.
Whisk egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy. Add in sugar and salt, whisk until soft peaks form.
Add the cheese mixture to the egg white mixture and mix well with a spatula. Pour mixture into cake pan.
Bake cheesecake in a water bath for 1 hour 10 minutes or until set and golden brown at 160°C.

Notes

Water bath - Place cake pan in a rectangle tray filled with water for moisture.
If using salted butter, omit salt from ingredient list.

Well, I really love Tumblr, the interface and stuff... but I think I might revive this blog into something else... something useful perhaps.

I have been baking quite a bit recently, and I love it, more than cooking. So I am actually thinking to share recipes I used in this blog, good idea?

Well, I got to find a new layout that is more suitable, this one has been sitting since last Christmas, ahaha... and then I'll start posting some nice recipes that I know, hope to find more in the future.

Maybe someone will be interested to share their recipes with me too?

Happy Chinese New Year! Gong Xi Fa Chai!

I have been really occupied for the past few days, tiring but I do think it's one of the best time I had, first time spending my CNY days in KL with only my family and close relative, fun! Other than the unbearable hot weather for the past few days, I don't really have any complains at all... had so much fun that I don't mind missing some sleep and wake up early just to meet up with my cousins. =)

My uncle, aunt and cousins came to KL on Saturday for reunion dinner, so got to help out my mom a little in food preparation and stuff, since we shouldn't celebrate due to my grandfather's recent death so we only had a normal dinner at home, but the food is still tasty, mom's cook is always the best! =p After dinner, we went to Look Out Point for the KL night view, on the way there it was drizzling, lucky for us the rain stopped when we reach there, but the temperature is still high, no wind and sooo humid! The view was just okay, all the places have been used to open more restaurants now, according to my brother. Sat for a while, had a drink, chit chat... and then we went to Mid Valley for midnight movie, can't believe there's loads of people still in KL! XD We watched Tiger Woohoo, a local production by Astro and MyFM, okay for me... not boring, not exciting, but I guess it's okay considering it's a local production. I love the cute little tiger that Astro designed!

First day of CNY is also full of events, had lunch with cousins at OldTown then walked around Sunway Pyramid for the whole evening, most of the shops are open so it's good, lots of stuff to see lots of people too. Then we went for dinner at a restaurant near my house, the food was okay, not great but still nice. It was a long dinner, we chit chat a lot I guess... after that went back to my cousin's hotel and also head to Starbucks for a drink and chat until 2am I think...

Second day of CNY was in KLCC, packed with people, I don't understand why... The original plan was to visit either Aquaria or Petrosains but both of them has a long queue, we decided not to wait and went to walk around instead. =/ Had early dinner that night, my mom's food again, yummy! Went to Sunway Lagoon, my first time... apparently there's a few sections which are open during the night, we went on the roller coaster and suspension bridge, not too bad but it's really hot and sweating away isn't fun at all. =( Since it was the last night, didn't want to go back so early, ended up in OldTown again, chit chat, eat supper...

Tiring but fun, finally yesterday I get to rest and recover, slept for almost 12 hours straight haha... XD and today, went to friend's house, spend the day playing cards and chit chatting, nice to meet my college friends again. Just few more days of my CNY holiday, gonna treasure it for sure, sleep, watching TV series, eat, going out...

No Valentine's Celebration this year because we both are busy and spending time with relatives, so maybe we will do it some other time, or maybe next year... XD

A Day of Fun!

Busy busy busy! with many stuff... work is one thing, then there's Restaurant City, (fluff) Friends, TV series, anime, games... never had time to blog or maybe no mood to blog (too lazy =p) So anyways, CNY soon! yay! one week holiday for me, awesome! but before that I got to finish off my work by the end of this week, hopefully I can...

Putting that aside, last week I finally did some CNY shopping at Sunway Pyramid, couldn't do that earlier because EdeNz was studying for exam, so no outings. I bought a few stuff and also spent a lot on food, as usual. XD Food first!

We stop by this small shop named Honeymoon, mainly sells desserts and it's full of people! The menu has lots of dessert, hot and cold, so hard to pick one lol... so in the end both EdeNz and I choose one, instead of sharing. XD

I ordered Honeydew Sago, something very ordinary I guess, but I love it! Taste good and not too sweet, it's big though, better to share!

EdeNz ordered something with ice cream, fruits and crystal jelly?? I forgot the name, but it's nice! two scoops of ice cream with mango, kiwi and watermelon at the bottom and lots of rice jelly kind of thing, yummy and filling too!

It took awhile for the order to arrive though, maybe 'cos there are lots of customer? The table beside us order a durian dessert and we could actually smell it from our table, kinda bad because I don't like it. =\

So, after continue shopping till 8pm I guess, it's dinner time and EdeNz insist on having Japanese food and because I don't want to queue up, we ended up in Zen, expensive stuff! which means food camwhore time! =p

We order lots of stuff... so let's see...

Sashimi to start off... yummy, rich in taste, no complains.

They have something like wintery menu, and there's this baked oyster, so I ordered one. I love it but EdeNz don't like the taste that much lol...

Follow up with soft shell crab maki, it's huge! Can't eat in one bite...

Hotate mentaiyaki, my favorite!

Cold Wheat Noodle, couldn't recall the Japanese name, but this is better than soba!

Last but not least, Wagyu tataki! Yummy beef!

Overall, the meal is satisfying and the bill is also very "lovely", haha... Oh well, guess I won't be doing much shopping or eating next month or two... =\ But I had fun, it's been awhile since we went out and enjoy ourselves like this...

For now, maybe some sleep and continue to work hard! and look forward to CNY holidays! next up will be my shopping stuff. =)

Hmm...?

Boo!

Almost half a month into 2010 already?! So fast! and things I do everyday? besides Facebook, it's always anime or TV series... hahaha! XD

Then, just last week I had problem with my stomach, food poisoning maybe... and fever for few days, it was really bad. Luckily it's all over now, I'm back to normal, yay!

Hmm, don't really have anything to talk about, I'm just bored right now... waiting for my torrents to complete so I can watch some anime and series... but these 2 days I have been waking up early, so it's kinda tiring, I definitely gonna get more sleep tonight, maybe soon... to cover up haahaha! well, can't wait for the weekend to come, I'm just feeling lazy...

will write again when I have something to talk about, next time...

Happy New Year!

Boo!

It's finally Year 2010, yet another year passed by. Lots of stuff happened over the past 12 months, some happy, some sad... regardless, there are all now part of my memories, I wouldn't say it's a good year but it ain't bad as well, things changed when time flew by, that's how it's supposed to be, right?

I am definitely looking forward to have a good year, so before anything else... it's party and celebration time! =p I took the day off for new year's eve, simply because I don't feel like working till late even on a day where everyone's celebrating. My day starts pretty late since I get to sleep in, watched Nodame Cantabile Live Action, which is really really awesome... still yet to finish but I definitely will. =)

I am also thrilled when the courier guy rung my bell and delivered my new bag that I ordered the day before, I thought it's not gonna make it so I am really happy!

Of course, the bag is pretty and all good, I'm loving it and have been using it ever since.

I also bought this cute little toothbrush holder, isn't it very creative? Hehe... I am seriously gonna do more online shopping, so convenient and easy, no hassle like finding car park in malls or too much people in the store.

EdeNz came after work to pick me up for dinner, and Matt managed to join us too... we don't like to go to crowded place and would love to avoid any jams, so we decided to go for Shabu Shabu at Kuchai Lama, though it's not been that long since we went the first time... Unexpectedly, there's a long queue when we arrived, I thought most people would choose to go party or countdown and stuff like that...

So, after we put our names down for the queue, I went to a boutique nearby to kill some time, and it happens that the boutique is having a 50% sale, yes everything is -50%, how wonderful is that lol...

The boutique's name is F Block and they give pretty shopping bags.

Pretty dress, the pattern is really nice, just couldn't see properly in this photo.

Lot's of cute dresses but it's quite rare that I get any chance to wear one, in the end I bought a blouse and a pretty skirt, all together they cost around RM70+. Good deal! XD

For dinner, it's lots of food, especially pork slice lol... since it's buffet, we just keep ordering... other stuff are good too, generally, we didn't find anything that is bad here... yummy!

We all ate lot while keep chatting, fun times! The good thing about this place is it's properly air-conditioned so we never sweat and the food comes on the conveyor belt or served, so we don't have to fight with aunties or uncles at the food counter. =)

Not to forget fruits and dessert after a satisfying meal.

We sat there for almost 2 or 3 hours I guess, chatting and eating... time do passed by fast when you're happy and enjoying the moment.

Got back home just 10 minutes before the clock struck 12.00... happy and satisfied. So that's goodbye 2009, welcome 2010!

Online Shopping Experience

I recently started to be interested in shopping online, like there's soooo many online shops which sells cute and pretty korean and taiwan fashion stuff at a very cheap price, so I decided I should definitely try ordering something.

Although this is not my first order (still waiting on the first order to arrive), but I just got my first purchase! I only placed my order yesterday and today the parcel is already waiting for me at home, so fast! Hehehe...

I bought a pair of gladiator heels, I was trying to find something like that at normal shops but I just couldn't get one that I like, luckily I found this online, it fits perfectly! and I bet it's much cheaper than to buy one in normal stores, no hassle at all! =) Isn't that great?

I got this heels from AiShop, and today just placed another order for a cute star bag and a whale toothbrush holder. I can't wait to receive them! So excited! XD Shopping has never been so much fun for me. Maybe if you are interested, you should try it too. XD

My Christmas

Happy Boxing Day! I don't have any box to unwrap though...

Hehe... so how does everyone spent their Christmas day? For me, it's just another holiday so EdeNz and I went to Mid Valley to have fun. =) The place is soooo packed, even finding parking is so difficult and the area is totally jammed up.

So, we started off with a quick lunch and then watched Sherlock Holmes. The movie was out just 2 days ago, luckily I managed to booked the tickets in advance, as usual the queue is scary at the cinema. The movie is awesome though, I like the olden western style of setting, pretty cool. The story is great, I never read the novels before though so I couldn't compare but I love how Sherlock explain everything so logically and smart lol... This movie is definitely worth watching, for the intelligent deductions and the jokes, not to forget the awesome storyline. =)

After the movie it's time for dinner and we ended up at Sushi Zanmai again, lots of people as usual but seats for 2 people seems easier to get. We ordered some food, pretty much the usual ones... Oh, they changed the menu a little it seems, so there's a few new items and the special menu for yesterday was Lobster Cheese Rice burger (the photo above), it was yummy, I love it... I think it's for a limited time only...

It's still pretty packed after dinner, hard to walk around when there's people everywhere you go to... so we went to Starbucks for a drink, too bad they ran out of Toffee Nut... I guess it was the last day for the Christmas Specials. While having a drink and surfing the net, I was deciding whether I should buy this expensive heels that I really love... hard decision though as you know I am trying to save as much money as possible...

I bought it in the end, I am totally in love with it after trying... it's so comfy and pretty!

It's from Fiorucci, an Italian brand I believe, the cost of this pretty heart heels is RM269 after 10% discount and I got 2 RM10 discount voucher as well. I'm happy that I got it, sad at the same time it's so bloody expensive lol... why can't the local shoe boutiques try to come out with something like this, unique designs, pretty and comfy at the same time?

A happy outing for me, and soooo tiring after walking around whole day doing so many things... ah well, that's how I spent my Christmas day.

Anime and Manga List Updated

Since I'm kinda bored right now... I just updated my anime list and manga list. =p

This season has much more interesting anime to follow, so that's really great and some of them are gonna end soon. I just started watching Chrome Shelled Regios and Fairy Tail now, borrowed from Matt, hehe... both are quite interesting, worth watching!

and just few days back, I have been re-watching Black Cat, since I started to read the manga. The story did end in a different way but storyline wise it's still very similar and I love both the anime and manga. Re-watching old anime is really nice, brings back memories and stuff... like I have been watching Prince of Tennis chapters over and over again when I feel like it... and never get bored of it yet. XD

Ah well, mindless rambling, I'm not too sure what I want to say... anyway, feel free to recommend any interesting anime and manga to me, preferably completed ones!

Christmas is about presents right? It means wish list, yay! =p Not that any of the following will get fulfilled but listing down the things I want is not a bad idea too...

A Vacation! Anywhere is fine as long as I get to relax and enjoy...
Lots of Money for Shopping! Sale, sale and sale, need to say more?
Lots of Yummy Food! Never say no to delicious food, the more the better.
Snow! A white Christmas is my dream, I have always seen on TV and movies, it's pretty.

Slow, slow...

Boo!

Why the slow update? I've got too many things to do, yet too little time. I spent at least 2 to 3 hours every night on Facebook alone... the apps are just toooo nice to play, you can say it's addictive but I really enjoyed it, not too crazy yet... People has been stuck on the computer whole day just on Facebook right? =p Other than that, catching up on all the TVB series and my regular anime is time consuming as well... so many nice shows to watch nowadays! (I am not complaining) On weekends, I wouldn't want to stay home and face the computer whole day, so I'm always outside, somewhere... time gone, money gone. =/

It's gonna be like this for quite some time I think, until I can resume my normal working hours that is... Well, maybe I will still blog, maybe I will not... but you can always find me on Twitter, I have been trying to update my Twitter everyday, if there's something interesting going on. XD

Year end holidays approaching soon and I am definitely looking forward to it, hopefully it'll be filled with lots of fun and excitement! (and food) =p Enjoy your holidays everyone!

Random Thoughts of Life

Boo!

What to say? Life has been really busy, free time is getting lesser... sleep time is barely sufficient. It makes me wonder, why do I live for? To wake up and go to work everyday? To get money and then spend them all? It's the same routine everyday, and yet I feel time passes by so fast I don't even remember why did I do some of the things I have done.

Still, every second passes by... how I wish that I could just stop the time and figure out what do I really want to do.

Despite needing to work till late night everyday, for the whole last week I have been playing Sims 3 every night, I just got too excited after getting back my graphics card. Furthermore, the first expansion pack is finally out, World Adventure seems to have so many more stuff to explore, I can't wait to get my hands on it. People wonder why this game is so popular, for me, I love this game because I can control everything that is happening in the game, to shape the life of every sim I control... it made me forget my worries and questions.

Ever since my dad decide to sell my car away and told me to get a new one myself, I have been trying really hard not to spend any money, but it's so sad and suffering not be able to buy things I love and eat food I want to try... Growing up and having more responsibility is definitely not fun, I simply don't understand what's so good about it that teenagers can't wait to be an adult. I have never thought of wanting my birthday to come faster even once...

Being surprised at how 2012 become such a popular movie, I watched it on Saturday with EdeNz and Matt, no doubt this movie is really good... the storyline is really amazing, got me so attached to the movie, the emotional scenes are done quite well that my tears are flowing out at the end of the show. I wonder what will happen to all of us if the day really come, it's something very interesting to think about... maybe I will write a separate entry for this movie.

As for now, I guess it's more Sims 3 and sleep.

Although it's a bit late, but here's a short review for Surrogates which I watched so long ago lol...

Personally, I have been waiting for this movie so long, ever since I saw the preview months back, i thought that this is so cool. It is indeed very nice after I watched the movie... You get to do anything you want, look however you want and do stuff you never meant to be able to... just by laying down in a chair at home... that's totally awesome! XD

Well, there's a bad side to it as well... nothing is 100% good only, like in the movie... a hot lady turns out to be a fat guy, gosh... so disgusting! Anyway, the movie is not only about those stuff... a fight between supporting surrogates and anti-surrogates, that's typical... Humans always love to fight, for various reasons.

At the end of the show, somehow all surrogates got destroyed and everyone is back to square one... which is what the main character thinks it's best for everyone to start walking out of their room and go see what is happening in the world for real.

It's quite a good movie, but storyline is predictable... The movie is only 1 and half hours, a bit too short I guess? I enjoyed it as I think it's totally cool and I would love to try experience this myself lol...

Many many things, I don't know where to start...

I still have trouble adjusting to my odd working hours. Working until 10pm everyday means no more night out on weekdays, even it's just dinner. and I have tried getting off early, it's just too much hassle and people aren't that happy. ah well...

HoN is my new addiction? Almost playing everyday after I got home from work, except that nowadays we don't have 5 players anymore, sob. Well, hopefully things will be better. I definitely want to spend some time for Sims 3, expansion on the way, I want back my graphics card! =p

My grandfather just passed away last week and I spent my entire weekend in Penang, so tiring because of lack of sleep for 3 days. I am kinda glad that my grandfather didn't need to suffer, he went away very peacefully and his funeral happen to be on my deceased grandmother's birthday, they will meet up somewhere right? I know he really misses my grandmother a lot.

EdeNz, Matt and I went for the Sushi King Bonanza last Tuesday and it totally suck, bad service, bad environment, bad quality. The manager doesn't serve enough sushi for everyone, we have to fight for them. =.= Their workers attitude just suck and the sushi isn't good. Alvin, you didn't miss anything although you couldn't come due to work, lol.

I went to watch the long waited Surrogates yesterday with EdeNz and Matt, maybe I will write another entry for that. We went to Sushi Zanmai for dinner, EdeNz say he wanted to have something good to forget about the bad Sushi King experience lol, and of course it was good. =)

New anime season started and there's a few anime that is really good, so now I have more animes to watch, even lesser time! I have also started to pick up a few manga to read to kill some time at work. So, I just updated both my anime list and my manga list.

That's some stuff I can recall happening for the past few weeks... maybe I will blog again if I can find the right time and mood. XD

Boo!

Busy busy week, lots of things going on here... but no right time to blog yet. Well, besides my weird working hours, recently I started on a new game, Heroes of Newerth. It's basically a standalone Dota, made by S2 Games. Just visit their site to know more, it's still closed beta now and I believe there are plans to make the game open beta pretty soon, it's all about profit. During the long weekend due to Hair Raya, I went to Penang with my family and EdeNz, to visit my grandfather, we do have fun eating lots of the local delicacies too, after all what's there to do in Penang besides eating. =p It's fun but it's tiring too, travel long distance and lack of sleep...

Since it has been a while from the last movie I watched, we decide to watch The Ugly Truth on Tuesday, heard it's funny so we give it a try with Matt, Emus and Alvin at Sunway Pyramid. The show is great, it's really very funny, although the movie is kinda short...

The movie basically involve things like men and women in relationships, what both gender wants and what people are looking for out there... The main guy in the show doesn't believe in all the lovey-dovey stuff, ended up falling in love with a girl which believe there's a perfect guy out there in this world. The whole show is funny, really enjoyable... there are some sarcastic comments here and there, jokes are good that they made me laugh out loud. =)

It's good to watch comedy like this once in a while, it helps releasing some stress and it's definitely better than watching some crap action movie which doesn't have a good ending. I truly enjoyed the show and definitely hope there are more good quality comedies in the future, life is stressful, we need more jokes to forget everything in the real world. XD

Birthday.

Sunday is gonna be over in no time, it's workday again. *sigh* I guess there isn't much people that is happy to go to work, what's better than being be able to laze around at home and do whatever you want? =p

My birthday was like 2 weeks back, only posting now because I'm busy and lazy at the same time, busy with new job, lazy to get the photos... Birthday was fun, I get to celebrate for 3 days, because my birthday falls on a weekend and Monday is public holiday due to National Day. XD

Saturday is shopping day, EdeNz and I went to One Utama, that's like the first time ever... me going there just to shop, well... my experience that day tells me that the place isn't that great. I guess I will still stick with Mid Valley and occasionally Sunway Pyramid. I did bought some stuff, maybe I will post some photos here next time, but I do have a shopping photo album on Facebook. =)

We also went Neway, singing is always fun lol... but it's tiring if you keep singing for 3 hours, don't even want to move anymore. We had dinner at a Korea BBQ Restaurant - Seoul Garden. I went to this restaurant once in Singapore and the impression is good, however the outlet here is just normal to me... they don't serve pork here and the food just seem a little different. I had fun eating and chatting, ate a lot as well hehe...

Back home that night, my mom bought me a jelly birthday cake, it's Garfield with a birthday cake, really really cute! It's so lovely that I refuse to cut the cake and eat it hahaha...

I'm lucky to have my cousin sister and her friend visiting that weekend, so after singing birthday song and stuff, everyone enjoy eating the jelly cake, it's layers of jelly and it's refreshing, not too sweet. I like this cake more than the normal ones, you can't get bored of it lol...

On Sunday morning, which is my birthday, my parents, EdeNz and I went to have Japanese BBQ Buffet Lunch at Daidomon @ Great Eastern Mall. This place is quite new I think, recently saw ads that they are having discount, so we decided to give it a try, my dad's treat, great! XD The food there is good, especially the BBQ squid and scallop. I love the scallop there, it's really big and juicy, too bad they limit each table to only 1 plate, if not I will certainly order more hahaha... The restaurant is quite packed during lunch, but not over crowded, which is a good thing.

As for Monday, EdeNz, Matt and I went to watch District 9 at Mid valley, as posted in this entry... and when we can't decide what to eat for dinner, we went to Pasta Zanmai. EdeNz was against the idea saying that it's a weird combination and all... after the meal, he proven totally wrong, lol. The food there is great, I love it! The best part is the price here is cheaper than Sushi Zanmai and there's no long queues just to eat dinner. =) No pictures for this one, just too busy talking and forgot about taking picture, so maybe next time. =p

I am really happy for the entire weekend, tired but satisfied, ate so much nice food... what else is better than being able to have good food always? =p More food entries coming up!

Boo!

Another movie update, should be just a short entry, since I'm tired and all after work. Maybe I will update another time this weekend with something better. =p

I went to watch this movie with EdeNz and Matt last week, heard that it was good and I feel like going out instead of staying at home so, why not? XD Tickets are easy to get since it's quite an old movie already...

I know the movie is gonna talk about aliens but I didn't know much, like human calling them "prawns" 'cos they look like one lol... Although the aliens seems to be having such high technology, able to travel in space and all... most of them seems to look stupid or don't even know anything at all? Hmm... The movie was quite boring at first, with all the dialogues trying to move the aliens to a new camp site and all but the later part of the movie is quite interesting when a human mutate into alien due to some mysterious black liquid. Well, the weaponry are cool, I can't imagine prawn-like creatures can actually develop such sophisticated weapons lol...

Then fighting scenes are just okay, I hate how the guy is so scared of everything and keep running away... in the end he did help the alien to get back to their spaceship and go back to their planet but the story just stop there, never mention if the alien is gonna come back for him, to cure his mutation and let him become human again. I hate it when movies end like this! =(

To me, it's kinda tragic that the guy got involved in all this... he's really innocent and I can see that he's really suffered a lot, I can't imagine anyone get go through all those things on their own. He's also really lovely, remembering his family all the time and still trying to keep in touch with his wife after he totally become one of the aliens... That's just touching.

I really really wished that the movie would give a proper ending... perhaps cutting out a little on the front part and add more time for the ending will make this movie much much better. I would give this 6.5/10... It's an okay movie but watching it on DVD or cinema doesn't make much difference.

Mooncakes!

I find it really hard to find a good time and mood to update my blog nowadays... the most productive and fun hours are now spent in the office doing nothing or probably just doing some boring tasks... I might start to look for other options if things doesn't change before my patience reaches the limit. =(

2 week ago, I think... EdeNz and I went to hunt for some yummy mooncakes at Jusco... well, I am not the type of person that like the traditional lotus and egg yolk mooncake, obviously, I went to look for something special, something new to try out.

We ended up buying quite a lot too, I suppose... and it's only the beginning, since mooncake festival is still long way to go. XD

I bought 2 mooncakes from Baker's Cottage - Sugarless White Lotus, which is specially for my dad since he couldn't eat sweet stuff... and Mocha Almond for myself, it taste okay for me but nothing very special...

I also wanted to try out one of the Starbucks mooncake, so I went to get their mooncake set which come with Tiramisu and berry cheese flavor. EdeNz took the berry cheese flavor home, he said it was sweet, but I never had a chance to taste it. Tiramisu is okay as well, but not much coffee taste, it's sweet too... not my favorite.

I have still yet to have my shanghai crispy yam mooncake, I love that mooncake the most and it's hard to find... My parents said that the only place that sells them is the Teo Chew Restaurant in Pudu. I will definitely get my hands on those yummy yam mooncakes, not sweet but delicious! and the skin is so crispy as well... *drools*

EdeNz, Matt and I watched this movie last week, I was just too lazy or busy to update until now... =p Many things changed this week, gotta make myself comfortable with the new work environment and change my daily routine to fit everything, not easy but still manageable... My weekend came and go so fast, hardly enough time for anything... Oh well.

Back to the topic, G. I. Joe is a movie everyone is waiting for, since the trailer was released, interesting fight scenes and technology I would say. The movie is great, as expected, there's so many fighting scenes, I especially love the ninjas fighting, it's kinda cool. XD The weapons and advanced technology is amazing as well, the armor suit and the plane and the weapons... good job on that. Story-wise, it's kinda predictable, don't see much surprise elements in the movie, I love how comedy is also added into the movie, the whole cinema is full of laughter.

I would say it's a movie worth watching, I enjoyed it and it seems there will be a second movie coming up. I am looking forward to it, hope we don't have to wait too long and it will be another good movie. =)

A New Start...

I'm now half dead... I didn't expect myself to be so tired both physically and mentally on the first day of my new job. It's the stupid traffic jam's fault. =( Why can't my car fly in the air or someone just give me a doraemon door so I can just open and walk home? =p

Yes, today is a new start for me at Manulife Technology & Services after I left Accenture last week. Well, it's quite different for me, I consider this a big change for myself... I don't get to sleep until 8am anymore... I reach office before 8pm now, just to avoid the massive traffic. No more short travel time between home and office as my office now is in Damansara Heights... well, it's not far, but not that near as well...

Since today is the first day, there's orientation and introductions of course, I get to meet a lot of people in the process, though I can hardly remember their names haha... well, just more time together and I can definitely recognize more people, hopefully have a bunch of friends too. Going through all this reminds me on my first day in Accenture too... I missed my friends there somehow and lots of other stuff too...

Well, moving on to more serious stuff, I will be picking up VB.Net again, after 2 years? Hopefully I will be able to cope with it, after all it's one of the reasons why I chose this job. Tomorrow will be a training day, so I shall make full use of the time to learn back what I have forgotten. =)

Most importantly, I need to get used to sleeping early and waking up early from now on, else I will have problems especially headaches... =( Time to sleep, good night!

Doesn't feel like blogging at all... so lazy this week, maybe 'cos I have been staying at home for the entire week? *sigh* Where's all the excitement and interesting stuff?

Going back to the topic, EdeNz and I watched this movie 2 weeks ago, I think. =p Well, the movie was okay for me... the story is pretty interesting as well, about train hijacking.

Well, the whole story talks about how a bunch of people hijack a train and demands for 10 million dollars but the real deal is to earn lots more money from the stock market with the whole hijacking incident, a pretty interesting idea. A smart guy ended up being a criminal and die in the end because of money, is that worth it? That, I don't think so...

It's not so much of an action movie, not much comedy elements as well, but it's still a nice movie because of the story, so you decide whether it's your cup of tea.

Next movie to look forward to will be G. I. Joe, another action-packed and futuristic movie... gonna watch definitely because Emus' review is looking good. =)

Bar B. Q. Restaurant is a restaurant with a green dinosaur as their mascot, the shop has been at Sunway Pyramid for a while and it's BBQ, so it's fun and yummy at the same time hehe... EdeNz wanted to try so here we go...

We ordered the Supreme Set for 2 person, which has so many kind of meat, beef, mutton, chicken, prawn, squid, some fish balls stuff and lots of vege!

and also an extra side dish, Thai-style Pandan Chicken! XD

not to forget, drinks! green tea is bottomless. =p

The BBQ plate in this restaurant is unique, soup can be poured around the plate for vege and fishballs, while the middle is used for grilling the meat.

We also ordered 2 garlic rice, which I though it's part of the set, but found out later it was optional... it was good though, hehe...

The restaurant has many customers, full house most of the time, surprisingly... I thought not much people would like it... Anyway, it's so yummy and fun to eat, I might go back there again when I feel like eating BBQ meat, hehehe...

Senjyu Sushi @ Sunway Pyramid

Not having fun with the stupid headache since Sunday night... didn't go work today, ended up in bed for almost 16 hours? *sigh* I hate being sick!

It has been some time since yummy food shows up on my blog, so here it is, time for some delicious sushi! =p On the same day I bought my phone and watch Transformers, EdeNz and I went to Senjyu Sushi for lunch, because I got 2 RM5 vouchers from AD&D 2009...

We weren't that hungry and my wallet isn't very generous so we just ordered 4 dishes... All of them were nice, but I still think Sushi Zanmai is better, for the price I pay I expected something more and not just ordinary. I totally miss Genki Sushi which was here before Senjyu Sushi, at least it's not so expensive and the food back then is equally good.

Here goes, first thing... Ikura Cawanmushi.

There isn't so much Ikura on top as the one at Sushi Zanmai and I think the egg taste could be richer, so this dish is just normal...

Next, we ordered Sashimi, I just feel like eating some.

The fish are fresh and great, nothing spectacular though.

Then we have Tempura Soba...

The tempura is very crispy and the soba is good as well, though I still like Cha Soba more. XD

We also ordered this trio salmon sushi, juicy and rich in flavor.

It would be better if it was Ikura on top, yummy!

The options are quite limited, as there were more sushi than the normal dishes, which I find the sushi are common, not willing to pay so much for a sushi I can also get from Jusco. I don't think I will visit again, there's much better choice out there... like Sushi Zanmai, my favorite! =)

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

I finally watched it with EdeNz last Sunday at Sunway Pyramid, it's a last minute thing but I manage to get tickets because I chose couple seats aahaha... as usual, the cinema is full, even the front row, is it just so nice to keep watching over and over again or there are just so many people who want to watch the show? lol...

The show is quite nice, but I still prefer the first one. Somehow I feel this movie has less focus, simply too many robots to show... Even the Fallen himself only fight for few minutes before he dies? Hmm... being the big boss of the bad guys, I would expect more actions and show offs but he only came out to get thrashed by Optimus lol... Well, lots of new robots and I think the coolest would be Jetfire... The twins are funny though... XD Others are just like side characters, even the old ones... there's not much story about them.

Story-wise is just okay, nothing special about it and I can see a third movie coming since Megatron and Starsream got away, but what will they be fighting for the next time? Using the Pyramids are quite a good idea I think, since there's always a belief that says there are built by aliens from outer space... XD and I guess Megan Fox plays a big role to attract people to watch this show, haha...

Well, I won't pay another RM12 to watch it in the cinema again, it simply didn't give me the amazing feel after I watched the show, but I don't mind watching the fighting scenes again if EdeNz is going to download the show for me. =p

New Phone Finally! - N97

Last week was really a normal and dull week, thus no new entry because I really don't know what to write about... but many many things happened over the weekend, so this week should be fun! XD Let's start with something big like... I finally got a new phone for myself! after so many years... yay!

Yup, I got it yesterday at Sunway Pyramid which cost me all my savings... so I'm officially broke now, no outings, if possible, for the entire month... until I get my salary. =( I bought myself a N97, it's a new model... which explains why it's so expensive... but I love it the moment I saw it in the Nokia shop!

N97 has two colors, black and white... I want to be special, so I bought the white one... 'cos black colored phones are everywhere. =p It's so cool, so many functions to use... I have yet to try all of them. I also have Garmin software installed in the phone and it's fun to have someone directing you when driving... hahahaha... so nice! I have also used the music player and camera so far, which is very good to me, I am really happy and satisfied to have it. XD Well, if you compared it to the dinosaur 8850 I was using, there's really nothing to comment about... If you want more info on this phone, click here.

I got myself another treasure, so I have 2 babies now, my PC and my phone... more to come as I have so many things I wanted to buy, just need more money lol... I am so poor now, so any expensive shopping or outings are out of the question now... =( Being poor isn't nice at all, the feeling is awful when I don't have money to spend, please let this month pass by faster?

My (fluff) Surprise is a Blue Uniko!

You may want to ask... what is a uniko? Is there such thing? Well well, it's actually just the magical horse - unicorn. In (fluff) Friends, instead of unicorn, it has a cuter name - uniko. =p It's the rarest and most valuable animal/pet in the game... and I own two of them, a blue one and a pink one, hehehe...

Remember the time when I actually subscribe to the game, becoming a (fluff) Subscriber? One of the perks is that there will be a real plushie delivered to me and here it is! ta-dah!!!

My super cute blue uniko!

I am very very lucky to get a blue uniko, many people wants it and it's totally random what you will get because there's a few more plushies and it was packed randomly. I loooooove my uniko very much, it's super cute and it's fluffy! This is my first time having something real from an online game/application.

I was super excited when I saw a package sitting at my desk when I got back home on Monday, without wasting any second, I opened the package and I found this cute uniko... I'm soooooo happy! Hehehe... I wished I could have the others as well, but too bad it's not for sale at the moment.

For now, I shall be satisfied and happy with my new plushie - a super cute blue uniko!

I just got myself a new bag last Saturday at Viss, Jusco. =) It was on 50% sales and I already have an eye for the bags at the shop last Wednesday when I passed by... so EdeNz and I went back hehehe...

I have just reached home, it's a long day for me... have been out since morning, went to many places. But it's a rather sad day for many people around the world because...

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson passed away this morning, I only knew the news from the radio on my way to work... and for the entire day, Mix FM has been playing MJ's songs to pay him a tribute. MJ might be a hero or an idol for many, he has done so much in his life, no one wouldn't know him.

To me, he is indeed a great singer and dancer, some of his songs are great but I am not a big fan of him... guess he didn't leave a vivid image in my brain like other fans. Nevertheless, he's done stuff for the music industry and everyone respect him for that.

There's another person who also left the world, Farrah Fawcett, a charlie angel and an actress. Well, not that I know her but everyone seems to only care about MJ and forgets her...

GSC site flooded with Transformers fans?

Last night, I tried to go to GSC website to book tickets for Transformers and guess what? I saw this...

and I hit my F5 button, then it loaded, but it's a simplied version instead of the normal page.

I stopped trying after that, because even I managed to login, the system won't load at all.

Thanks to all crazy Transformer fans lol... and it's still having problem even now. I think I will only watch the show after all the crazy people stop spamming the site.

Shopping Time

Another week passed, June is gonna end soon... but I don't feel like I have done anything at all, see how much time is wasted. =( and this is another sleepy and lazy day, played too much Sims 3 last night and didn't get enough sleep... hahaha...

Father's Day was on Sunday, so I went to have buffet brunch with my parents, well the food is good and all, not too crowded, so it's good. Hopefully my parents enjoyed it as well... after that I went to do some shopping at Mid Valley, just want to see if there's anything nice to buy, it has been a while since I last shop and I feel that I need to get something new. =p

There's suppose to be a mid-year sale, I think... some shops have crazy sales but some shops just doing their business as usual, of course they don't get many customers since there's no sale. I think all shops should have some kind of sale all year long to attract people to buy their stuff, I am the kind of person who wouldn't want to buy something that is not on sale, I'm not rich, what to do...

Let's see, I didn't manage to buy a lot of stuff, but I did spend some money...

I got myself a new pair of white sandals, it's very comfy and looks nice...

and also visiting La Senza makes me poorer again, but I got myself a new PJ and cute bras hahaha...

The missing one was eaten by me... =p

Krispy Kreme in Mid Valley has finally opened, after reading so many nice reviews, I gotta try their donuts and see how amazing it is, but sadly, it's a huge disappointment, their donuts are way too sweet for me, I think I will stick to Big Apple for now.

EdeNz and I went Sushi Zanmai for dinner, didn't eat much though 'cos we were still kinda full after the buffet... but still I never get tired of having Japanese food, haha... I don't mind eating Japanese food everyday if I have the money. XD

After dinner, we went to Delectable, a cute designer cake shop... the cakes are really really pretty, I can stay in the shop all day and look at the cakes lol... I bought the cupcakes there, 3 for RM28, which means almost RM10 per cupcake, the most expensive cupcake I ever bought. It's so cute... I keep looking at them, if possible I want to make them a decoration! The cupcake is very sweet with all the sugary design on top, so eating it is not really the best choice hahaha...

See, most of my money are spent on food everytime I go out... there's no way to get cheap and nice food around here... I guess that's all for shopping this month? But I am looking forward to Transformers, which means going out and spending money again! =p

The Sims 3

It's Monday again and I'm tired, sleepy actually... I can never get enough of sleep, it seems. Afraid not, this won't be another movie entry, no more movies until Transformers I'd say... which is next week, right? =p Hahaha... Anyway, my weekends are all spent on this - The Sims 3!

Sims 3!

It's a game by EA, in case you wonder what the heck is that thing. =p Well well, I fell in love with Sims even since I played Sims 2, it's just so much fun, like my dream world... I love designing and decorate houses, love dressing up my sim with all kinds of nice clothes, hair and accessories... you can do whatever you want, become whoever you want to be as a sim, so much fun! I would never get tired of it.

With the new introduction of The Sims 3 just a week ago, I am so excited and can't wait to get my hands on the game. Luckily EdeNz managed to download the game for me and installed in my computer on Friday night, ever since then... it's all about Sims 3 only. XD First thing I noticed, game loading time is faster than Sims 2, which is so good, I hate waiting... Then the graphics are absolutely more wonderful, more realistic and smoother. The town is well decorated and it looks so peaceful yet so exciting, waiting to be explored. =p

Basic game play is still the same but with lots of enhancements here and there... like to create a new sim, the interface is much better now, we can even define our own color and style... it's called Styling in the game and it doesn't only apply to the sim itself but basically everything in the game, from human to furniture and house design... I spend like hours just to decorate my house. It's just one floor at first, then I decide to extend a level up, making another floor with a huge balcony for fun times. =) I really love the process of building, designing and decorating, making sure everything looks nice in the end, most fun when you can buy anything you like, no worries about money at all, hahaha...

Fishing, get fish for your cooking ingredients and build up your skill.

Skill-wise, there are more types of skills to learn now, like guitar and painting is two different skills, there's also gardening and fishing which I find it very interesting, yet to explore the skills and learning process to the fullest... Writing is also interesting, there's so many type of novels you can write and you earn great bucks from writing too! Other than special skills, the normal cooking, mechanical and charisma skills are there too, but with more things to do, more interactions to build up your skills, pretty good.

The Central Park, you can read a book, play chess, picnic, BBQ... do whatever you like!

One of the best feature of Sims 3 is no more millions of loading screen to move around, the map view is simply awesome... You can go anywhere you want in the town with just a click, no more waiting for few minutes just to load a building, fun times! There's so many exciting places to go like the Art Gallery, Theatre, Grocery Store, City Hall, Science Center, Graveyard, Park, etc... You can also go visit neighbor's house with your car, so easy!

Lots and lots more to talk about, there's so much things I have yet to discover like babies and stuff... I will soon, I'm sure it's gonna be fun and I definitely hope to see more stuff either from expansion or just simple mods from wonderful people... I'm sooo addicted to the game, can't stop thinking about it, can't stop playing when I reach home. =)

Anime List Updated!

Boo!

Updated my anime list a while ago, yay! This time added 2 new anime to the list that I am currently watching, Valkyria Chronicles and Shugo Chara. I can still watch more, so tell me if there's any other nice anime around! =p

Valkyria Chronicles is an anime based on a game, I believe... The story is interesting, wars between countries in a olden Western setting, kinda special to me... the clothes, weapons, buildings and stuff. The story has a kind person leading a team of militia to fight, yea normally good guys don't fight... and he has created miracles after miracles with his team, very interesting to see him fighting using some special strategy.

Shugo Chara is a really cute anime on the other hand... Matt recommended it to me and passed me all the episodes as well, hehe... It's about kids having their own guardian character, which is also their would-be self... something they want to be. The kids then fight against the Easter cooperation to stop them from getting the "Embryo", which is an egg that grants any wishes... You will see characters transformation in the anime and some cheesy scenes, according to EdeNz, haha... can always skip those parts... overall the story is still very interesting. I read the manga as well, and it's getting excited! I believe there's a second part to the anime and I will definitely watch it when I get them from Matt. =)

Recently I re-watched Cooking Master Boy and Yakitate! Japan... both are funny cooking anime, which really makes me hungry seeing all the yummy food and bread... haha, still some nice anime to watch and laugh despite watching them for a few times already... Nowadays, good comedy anime is just too hard to find, the producers have no sense of humour anymore? lol...

It's been a while since last update, yea... kinda lazy to write nowadays, wonder why the mood is just not there. =( Anyway, this is another movie post, boring huh? Well... nowadays I go to cinemas every week just because there are nice movies coming out every week, so that's why... lol. *plus I'm too lazy to think so much* =p

Hmm, I know there's already 3 movies on Terminator, I didn't watch every one of them, just the third one I think, it's so long ago... I don't really remember anything anymore except for SkyNet fighting with human, and a guy named John Connor. Somehow I think that's all I need to know because the whole show is basically only that? Hahahaha...

Okay, if you ask me, the show is just okay... why? Cos if the last movie is what I remembered, this movie is exactly the same as well! Then what's new in the movie? a half human half robot? oh well... and all the fighting with robots is just so fake somehow? I don't really like the graphics made for this movie, the robots are too ugly for some reason... The worst thing is that the end of the movie isn't the end of the war yet, again! Since they bring the whole SkyNet down already, what else is there to fight? *sigh* Hopefully people will stop making this movie again in 5 or 10 years time, else the story is gonna be the same again, human vs. robots.

I don't fancy this movie very much, but I know lots of guys love it, I have no idea why, the story isn't that good and if a movie's story isn't good there's not much point watching right?

Night at the Museum 2

I'm so sleepy today... probably due to lack of sleep last night because I was playing Age of Empires with EdeNz, should sleep earlier tonight... =( It seems that Mondays are always gloomy...

Anyway, it was really a hooooot weekend, even though I stayed home on Saturday, sitting in front of the computer playing games... I still sweat a lot, such unbearable weather... *sigh* I was planning to go out and watch Night at the Museum 2 but I couldn't get any tickets for Saturday. In the end, Matt, EdeNz and me went to Mid Valley yesterday night for the show...

Night at the Museum 2!

The show is really good, love it very very much... Matt thinks it's better than the first one. =) The movie this time has more characters involved and it's packed with action and comedy elements. The story takes place in the national archive this time, due to a new renovation of the natural museum... all the displays are being shifted there for storage...

and because of the tablet, the other stuff in that national museum came to live as well... An Egyptian king named Kahmunrah tries to summon some birdman to help him conquer the world... and then noticed that the code on the tablet was changed, in the end, Larry figured the code out with the help of a miniature Einstein group. Well, after some battle and fights, which is funny... everything is settled and the displays are back to the natural museum once again! This time, the museum opens till late night, allowing people to actually see everyone alive, cool huh? XD

The story is nice and the comedy element is all over the show, it's worth to watch this in the cinema, I bet the whole cinema is filled with laughter every time this show is on the screen. =p Next movie to look forward to... Terminator salvation? Transformers?

Angels & Demons

Finally it's Friday, it's a good thing I guess... But I still hope this few hours can pass by faster so that I can enjoy my weekend at home or somewhere else fun. =p

So, EdeNz and I watched this movie, Angels and Demons, during our trip to Genting... and it's quite a nice movie based on the book which is written by the same author of The Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown. This author does like to talk about Christianity huh... Well, as a sequel to the movie Da Vinci Code, I believe many have said that this movie is much better and I think so too... though I can barely remember the previous movie content, I believe the story is more exciting this time and there's more action involved...

The story is basically about a priest who tried to make himself a hero and get to be elected as the next Pope, after the current one is dead... He revives a secret organization, Illuminati, which is opposing the Catholic Church and then kidnapped 4 favorite candidates for the next Pope... A professor that is studying those Illuminati codes were called in to help, together with a scientist, both of them tries to stop a bomb from exploding in the Vatican city and tries to save the 4 candidates before they were killed.

Well, the story ends well when the priest's plan is revealed by the professor to the church people, then the professor managed to save one of the candidates for the next Pope from dying... I get to learn more stuff about Christianity here, like the process of Pope's election, which I don't really know about... it's interesting to learn stuff about religions but it's sad to see how people use religion as a weapon or power... This show also portrays a point - religion vs. science... I think they can co-exist and I believe they should, we have brains and we can think, make use of it to advance and improve our lifestyle is definitely a good thing.

Hmm, I am sure there are tons of opinions on things like religions and stuff, I am open to hear all of them, it's best to hear what people have to say but it's annoying when someone tries to push their opinion on you and makes you think the same... don't you think so?

EdeNz's Birthday @ Genting Highlands

EdeNz's birthday was last Sunday, so... we both decided to celebrate it somewhere, easiest would be Genting Highlands. =p I want to get away from all the stress and stuff like family and work too, just too much to handle and don't want to think about it. So off we go on Friday morning!

Well, one nice thing about going on trips is you get to sleeeeeep! Yes, I would like to sleep all day long if possible, some days are just not meant to work. =/ We did take a short nap after checking in to the hotel, then went to walk around and sight seeing, enjoy the cold weather... That's another reason to go there, 'cos my house is just too hot, like an oven, everyday! =(

Walking around, enjoying a cup of coffee, looking at people walking pass... just relaxing, that's how life should be! We didn't do much that day but we did went for a movie at night, Angels and Demons... a nice movie, maybe I shall talk about it in a separate entry. =)

Woke up around 9am for breakfast on Saturday, which is a rare thing for me... =p So many people are already starting their day, cafe was really full and since it's buffet... there are typical Malaysians that grab everything they could on the buffet table, leaving none for the others... so inconsiderate.

After that it's time for some fun and excitement, we went to the theme park, played a few rides but nothing special since we have already played countless times... nice to ride over and over again but I wished there were something new. =/ There's a small girl which hug EdeNz so tightly on the pirate ship ride 'cos she was so scared, lol... the situation is really... *don't know how to describe* There's also a Beryl's Chocolate House in the theme park, it's so cute inside with all the decoarations and we managed to take photos with some mascots hahahaha... You can see some photos on my Facebook photo album... It's at the place where they used to plant flowers, the greenhouse just beside the swinging chairs.

We went for the Dreamz show that night, part of the hotel package, it was okay... there's white tigers, lions and husky in the show, but just for a while... the huskeeeeees are so cute!!! Too bad the photo shoot with the animals is so expensive, else we would have go for it. Bought ice cream for EdeNz instead of cake that night, since we both don't feel like eating cake and ice cream looks so yummy! Haha...

Sunday, it's time to go home... woke up late that day due to a headache but it was okay after that, luckily... reach home around 2 something I guess, back to the hot hot weather... nice trip but tiring, I wonder why... it's supposed to be relaxing lol...

Anyway, I did some shopping around First World plaza... spent quite a bit of money and got...

A new bag! I saw this bag on the display and thought it was really nice, EdeNz agrees too! Since I don't have this kind of bag and I get 20% discount since I have HSBC credit card... hehehehe...

A new purse! I have been wanting one for a long time, just couldn't find any that I like. The moment I spotted this, I immediately love it so much! Haha... cute right? There's pink and purple but I think pink is nicer. =p

A bread key chain. It's really a bread, it smells like butter too, amazing isn't it? We saw it at some stalls around the mall and it's just soooo cute and special. It's squishable and it goes back to its shape in no time, have to get one once I saw the whole bunch of them hanging at the store, hahaha...

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

Any anime fan would watch this, simply because the previous FMA is soooo nice, you have got no reason not to watch this one. The remake is going to follow what is drawn in the manga so expect to see a different story than the previous one. I have watched 6 episodes so far, and it's good. Drawings are a bit different and story so far are still the same since it's the beginning but some parts are explained in detail and some parts are being cut down... Anyway, the exciting part has yet to come, a must watch anime this season! =)

K-On!

A recommendation by Matt, it's a school-themed anime, so there's cute girls lol... Well, the story revolves around the light music club, very funny and cute anime. It's something like lucky star, so if you like lucky star, you might like this too. Matt said that people went crazy about this anime and bought the guitar owned by the main character, Yui. Funny anime is always welcomed, good for relaxing your mind. =p

07-Ghost

A boys anime, yes... with a lot of handsome guys! Haha... the story is about war and army, the story is still very unclear even though I have watched 5 episodes... I think that the anime is a bit draggy, I wished they can move faster and cut down on all the crap, and stop repeating the same scenes over again. I will continue to watch this until I think it's too bored... maybe things will be better soon?

Tears to Tiara

Hmm, I think this anime was based on a game, not too sure but the story settings indeed is the game world where swordsman, demons and elves exist... Only watched 4 episodes so far, the drawings are not bad but the story is just normal so far, got to watch more to judge, hopefully it's a good one.

Hatsukoi Limited

Just downloaded this anime few days ago, Matt's recommendation too. Another comedy was is really good! The drawings is okay, I think the middle school girls are a bit too staright and flat? Haha... anyway, it's really really funny, just like School Rumble, but for me, even better. I have only watched 2 episodes so far, will try to catch up when I have time. XD

Any other nice anime to recommend? Feel free to suggest, since I can download more anime with my new HDD! Hahaha...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Another movie update here, watched Wolverine with EdeNz, Matt and Alvin at Cineleisure last Friday night after dinner at Zen @ Sunway Pyramid. The dinner was so good and we chatted for few hours until almost closing time, then got stuck in the parking area because everyone else is leaving the mall as well...

It was EdeNz's idea to watch a midnight show and Alvin suggested Cineleisure since that's one of the least crowded place, hopefully that we can get tickets last minute. Well, we didn't managed to get the 11+ ticket but we got tickets for a 12.05am movie... Walked around the mall and the street to pass time, ended up in an ice cream stall in the cinema. =p

Well, many people where there, due to Labor's Day I guess... So the cinema was full, even during midnight. I have only watched one X-Men movie before this and I have not read any comics before, only after the movie starts, I get to know that this movie is about the story of a guy named Logan, how he got his mutant powers, what he do before he join the X-Men team.

Well, the story starts from him being a kid, killed his father with his bone claws then run away with his brother... Both of them then joined a few wars, but couldn't die due to their regeneration ability. The army tried to killed them when his brother, Victor, killed an officer but failed. Then, a person named Styker found them and request them to join his special team of mutants. They start going on missions, but finally Logan couldn't stand killing innocents and leave the group.

He became a lumberjack and live together with a beautiful teacher, Kayla. Too bad that his brother starts to hunt everyone in the team, Styker asked for his help but got rejected. Later, Victor killed Kayla in order to get to Logan, this time... Logan agrees to help Styker just to revenge his lover. Styker reinforced Logan's bone structure with adamantium, the strongest metal found on the meteorite they discovered years back. He is now known as Wolverine.

He go to his old teammate to hunt for clues of the where about of his brother, Victor, leading him to find Gambit, a mutant which escapes from the prison that Styker has set up. He realized that everything is a lie... Kayla is alive and she is just doing her job to get her sister out of the prison. Wolverine released everyone from the prison, asking them to go while he fights with Styker's new weapon, XI, which is actually Wades, a guy from the team last time... XI has a few powers, teleport, regeneration, laser eyes and also adamantium in his body. Wolverine managed to kill him with his brother help, he goes back to look for Kayla... Styker managed to shoot Wolverine down with adamantium bullets, although he survived but he lost all his memories...

Well, the story ends there... so to be continued? I have no idea but it was a really nice movie. Lots of cool powers and many handsome guys especially Gambit. XD Hahaha... It's a good show and it's worth all the time and money spent. =p

Fast & Furious 4

I don't feel good today, wished I could stay home and sleep... I don't know why I just need my sleep but time doesn't allow me to do that. =(

Fast & Furious 4 came out some time back in the cinemas but I only managed to watch it with EdeNz two days back, it was just a random thought, suddenly EdeNz said he want to watch this movie that day... Well, luckily there are still nice seats available and I managed to get them online. XD

It's all about cars, everyone assumes. Actually, in this movie... there's more. The movie starts off with a bunch of people stealing petrol, pretty cool process I would say. There's only one race in the whole movie, which is when Dom (Vin Dissel) found out that someone killed his girlfriend, Letty, and he tries to get a job which she used to do... which is to transport drugs across the US-Mexico border. The race is good, GPS can be so cool lol... but it's street racing, so you can see cars flying around, roads becoming a mess and stuff.

After Dom managed to get into the team, he search for the killer and hunt him down with an old friend, Brian, who is a FBI guy... Lots of dramas in between and in the end Dom killed Fenix, the guy who killed Letty and the bad guy who hired drivers to deliver drugs is caught. Too bad that Dom was caught and being sentenced to a 25-year jail, but the show ended with his friends coming to intercept the jail bus. =)

I think this show doesn't focus much on car racing anymore in this movie, compared to the Tokyo one... but it's still nice as there are still actions through out the show. I don't know much about cars but I guess car lovers won't like it that much since there's just a few nice cars in the movie... Hmm, I would say the movie is good but many have told me that this one isn't good at all compared to the previous F&F movies. What do you think?

The Sims

It's finally Friday, here comes another weekend but doesn't seem so fun and exciting... due to various reasons. Anyway, it's still good to be able to stay at home, sleep and play whole day. =)

It has been a while since I bought my new computer, so it's time to try out some games, that's one of the reasons I bought my baby. =p I installed Sims 2 few days back and immediately got addicted again. I can play for hours, not noticing that time passed so fast. It's really easy to be lost in the game...

I spent a night just to get myself familiar with the game and then start my own family and decorate my own house, all those for just 2 to 3 hours every night, until yesterday I managed to finalize my house and start playing. XD I should get some screenshots, maybe tonight and post them here hehe...

Anyway, a friend of mine, Suzanne, told me that Sims 3 is coming and I went to check it out, it's just 2 months away! According to The Sims 3 Official Site, it's coming on June 2009, I am thrilled and looking forward to this game, definitely going to try it out once it's launched... Finally, a game to look forward to.

On a side note, I need to control my addiction else I won't have enough sleep every day and sooner or later I will be sick. =/ Haha...

Shinjuku Incident

It's another Jackie Chan's movie. I went to watch with EdeNz on Saturday @ Mid Valley, lots of people queuing up as usual but I got my tickets online on Friday, smart eh? =p Hehehe... But even when we want to get mineral water at the cinema food counter, there's also a long queue... Those customer should just plan what they want to buy before queuing up, instead of wasting time trying to decide which flavor of Twisties they want or whether they want large or medium popcorn at the counter, Zzz... Hopeless people!

Shinjuku Incident.

Okay, back to the movie... It's Japanese story, they speak Japanese, English and a little Chinese and Hokkien too, ahaha... There isn't any fighting scenes like the previous Jackie Chan's movie, it's a story about Japanese Yakuza and all the fights involved parangs and guns only...

The story describe how people in China go to Japan illegally and try to build a life and identity there, accepting all sort of jobs just to earn a living. Chinese people are being looked down there, Japanese people often treat them like slaves. Finally they got in between the Yakuza's fight, thinking that they can have a better life and not being looked down again... but happy life doesn't last long and it comes with a heavy price...

I think the movie is really sad, clearly shows how the Chinese people are bullied and tortured. I am kind of disappointed that there's no fighting scenes to see Jackie Chan perform, but I guess he needs to move on to other characters since he is not as fit as before... Well, I am not a fan of this kind of gory, cruel and sad movie, so I don't really like it... those that enjoy seeing miserable people being tortured are sick. =/

I still prefer Jackie Chan's older movies, those are funny and the fighting is cool! XD

I need a new phone...

I was bored and wanted to try to change the theme of my blog, ended up it wasn't nice and I'm too lazy to edit now... When I restore my theme I realized all my java scripts are gone but I managed to get them back in place except my poor little Chattie... 'cos Astro office decided to block the site as well! Argh!!!

I have got nothing to do, very bored and I can't stand it... Life without a goal is meaningless don't you think? That's why I try to plan what I should do everyday... it didn't turn out very well... *sigh*

Anyway, since I got myself a new computer already, it's about time to start planning to fulfill my next wishlist item, a phone. It's really really really hard to find a phone which satisfy me even until now, I am still looking and checking, undecided.

I want my phone...

To be small, I don't like bulky phones such as PDAs.
To have GPS, for road idiots like me, it's a savior!
To have a good camera, I like to take photos when I am in the mood and I don't have and can't afford to get a camera right now.
To be a Nokia or any phone that don't have opposite navigation buttons.
To be cheap, money is important and I am very poor now. =(

iPhone.

I have thought about iPhone before, ever since Maxis decided to launch this awesome phone with their subscription plans in Malaysia... but there's two things annoying about iPhone, the camera sucks and the bluetooth only recognized other Mac devices, which means it's pretty useless. Not to forget, iPhone is not cheap at all and if I were to get it I got to pay RM100 per month just for my phone bills.... compared to now which is just RM30 per month for the prepaid reload... big difference! But there's so many amazing things that iPhone has and you won't see them elsewhere...

N85.

Another phone that I like is N85 but it's also not cheap right now... plus I have read some reviews and found that its GPS system is not that great and some have problems with it. It's one of the important feature I want in my new phone, this comment makes me think twice...

I really don't know what other phones out there satisfy me, maybe none... I am just asking for the impossible..?

Anyway, it's not a rush... Just the next thing I want to buy and hopefully before the current dinosaur phone of mine decide to die on me. Maybe in the end I won't get everything I want, but what is really the best choice and worth my money? Any ideas or recommendations?

Wild Child

Yesterday, I was just randomly browsing stuff on the net and suddenly thought of watching some movies during my free time... So, I went to browse IMDb to look for something interesting and thought of Wild Child, it was a movie aired end of last year, I never had the chance to watch it in the cinemas due to various reasons...

I found the video on Megavideo, nice! Loading the entire 94 minutes is very time consuming though, looking at the unstable Internet connection here... Well, I loaded 1/3 of it when I went off to lunch so I get to watch the show right until 20 minutes before ending and it got stuck... Waited again then finally managed to finish the movie just before I went home. XD

Wild Child.

The movie is quite nice, I love to watch school themed shows, hehe... The story is pretty normal, a teenage girl being spoiled by the father after her mother died in a car accident, she became rebellious and finally her dad has no choice but to send her to a boarding school in England.

Life in the boarding school isn't easy for a spoiled brat, especially with all the strict rules and the British girls happen to not like the Americans. She finally managed to get some friends to help her to get expelled so that she can go back home, but in the process, they get to know each other better and really became good friends. Typical story like this always has a bad girl who is jealous of the new girl and try to ruin her life, this time it's the head girl of the school who is jealous because the headmistress' son pay attention to the new girl instead of herself. In the end, she set the school kitchen on fire and put the blame on the new girl but truth is revealed with the help of other girls in school. A happy ending when the girl finally learn that her mother went to this school as well, she decided to continue her studies in the school and starts to behave herself.

Simple story, relaxing, nothing too extraordinary. It's kinda funny to hear the British accent of the school girls there, it's not hard to understand but it's just weird, hehe... XD I am looking for other similar movies or shows to watch, still thinking right now, so if you have any good suggestion, let me know!

A new baby for me...

I was pretty busy for the entire weekend, even until today... just simply trying to get my baby totally up-to-date and ready for me to use! Yes, my new baby which costs a big hole in my bank account, my new computer! =D

Brand new PC.

Finally, I got myself a totally new computer using my own money. I am really happy and excited, I have been thinking of getting one since... forever? Now that I finally can afford to buy one myself, without any help from my parents, I am so thrilled. This feeling is really hard to describe but it's definitely amazing when you finally buy something for yourself using you own money... Yea, amazing. =)

I was pretty clueless at first on what spec should I go for, as you know... different usages need different specifications. Hehe, I really love it, although it's really a painful and troublesome process to format and setup my stuff all over again, but it's worth it! I am happily using it right now. I can really feel a big difference since I am stuck with a 15' laptop monitor all the while... The is better than my TV at home when I watch anime or TVB series, so nice right? Hahahaha...

It's only few days now, I haven't even done installing everything, which is why I am so busy but I just really want to blog this as soon as possible, so here it is. I am in love with my new baby computer. =)

Oppsie, neglected my bloggie again. Not that I wanted to, just that I'm down with a cold and fever for the past 3 days... =( Bad health condition affects my mood a lot, no mood to do anything or even write anything, please chase the flu bug away!

Genting Skyway.

When I was in Genting with EdeNz sometime last month, we had steamboat for dinner, that's the best food you can eat in a cold weather right? and I absolutely love steamboat anytime, I don't know why I just like steamboat a lot even it's just fish balls and stuff. =p

We went to this restaurant call Hot Pot in First World Plaza, it's on the same floor as the Snow World and it's just next to the escalator. There isn't much people when we were there, maybe we are early or something, I have no idea. The restaurant offers a few kind of dishes, typical Chinese restaurant type, but we decided to go for the steamboat and took tom yam and porridge soup base. =)

We have to order the food separately though, since they don't charge for the soup base. It's kinda pricey to be honest but it's only once in a blue moon kind of thing, so it's fine! XD The food came in small square dishes, arranged nicely, haha... the dishes can be stacked as well... Seems little but it's actually very very filling, we had a hard time trying to finish everything up.

Off we cook the food, I separate all the food evenly into the different soup base and wait for them to boil, it's quite a long wait though... So, we chit chat and cam-whored a little, hehe... Since the restaurant is on the upper floor and we sat by the window, I get to see people walking around downstairs, kinda nice to sit like that and relax my mind.

After a pretty long wait, the food is finally ready and we started to eat and eat and eat... then cook new ones again... then eat again.... eventually both of us are extra full... Well, we rest a while and talk and stuff... then continue eating again. We spent quite a long time in the restaurant I think haha...

Another quick update, another movie entry. =p

Went to the cinema @ Mid Valley last Saturday with EdeNz and Matt because Matt suggested us to go out for a movie. I have no idea what movies are current on the screens so Matt and EdeNz suggested this superhero show called Watchmen.

The Superheroes.

The show looks so cartoon-ish to me lol... But since I have not watch any movie quite a while, might as well give this a try maybe it will turn out the be interesting. Luckily I managed to book the movie tickets else it's gonna take a long time to buy tickets at the cinema, I wonder why so many people are always lining up...

The show turns out the be 2 hours plus, almost 3... The story is sooooo long, so many characters as well. The movie settings are back to 20 years ago I think, so somehow it looks weird at first, couldn't really get the story at the beginning of the show lol... Well, things are explained later after lots of stuff happen. There are some action scenes as well, since it's superheroes fighting against the bad guys ahaha...

The show is okay, but not my type as I don't really like the story setting and it's too long for me, it's really tiring to watch such a long movie if the story is not exciting or action packed. It is kinda special though, first time watching a movie like this and I think the story comes from a comic book? If you are a fan of the comic series then maybe you should try watching the show. =)

I can finally login to Gmail and Blogger in the office @ Astro, but still trying to figure other ways to get to Facebook and MSN Messenger or any web messengers, if anyone knows how, do tell me please. =(

So when I was in Genting few weeks back, I went for a movie with EdeNz... didn't know what to watch and finally picked Punisher: War Zone. Well, I get the impression that there will be lots of people dying scene, cruel and disgusting stuff, hmm...

The movie is indeed that way but most of those parts are cut off already, even their dialogues are censored, kinda annoying... I really don't understand why they want to censor the dialogues when the movie is already 18++ rated. It's not like everyone in the cinema doesn't know what they are saying, I bet everyone knows it so well and even some use those words daily.

The story is about a guy who lost his family one fine day, then turn into a heartless killer who goes around killing every bad guy he can find, then when he is tracking down another bad guy, he accidentally shot down a FBI undercover agent... He felt really bad and wanted to quit and stuff, but when he got to know that the family of the FBI agent is in danger, he want to protect them and thus hunting down the bad guy again... Of course, after lots of fighting and battling scenes, the bad guys finally died and the good people are safe.

I guess it's not my type of movie, I don't fancy seeing disgusting stuff and people dying, lol... Well, I know many guys would love these stuff haha... So it's better to download the uncensored version than to watch it in the cinema.

Due to some issues with Internet connection lately, there's not much time to update my blog anymore. I couldn't do it in the office because I am currently placed in Astro which has crappy Internet connection as well. =( More on that sometime later, for now...

Well, it's something new introduced this week on (fluff)Friends. Users can actually pay a subscription fee every month to get some privileges which doesn't exist before, kinda cool it seems... The fee is of course not that cheap since it's $10 or $25 per month, lots of users complain and whine about it, others support them and go on with the subscription.

As for me, I didn't want to waste money on games like this initially. Maybe due to influence by people who subscribe, I feel it's good to be able to have those special stuff given to them. I decided to join the crowd when EdeNz said $10 isn't a problem for him since he's earning much more from advertisements on his site, haha...

Another important thing is that I know (fluff)Friends donate to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) when we pay them in cash and they have promise to contribute $50,000 regardless whether they get this much cash from users ever since (fluff)Scriber was introduced. I see this as a good thing, to protect the nature on earth as environmental issues seem to be hot right now.

There's more to it! Every (fluff)Scriber will be given a surprise by mail, a real gift! Apparently it's gonna be a plushie from (fluff)Friends. =) Though we will not be able to choose which one to have, I am happy to be able to own one, it's not easy to get one since they don't sell it anywhere else. Internet is still as slow as ever, that's why I didn't really want to update my blog... No materials to write about is another issue too. =(

Anyway, I have just completed my Siebel training today, it's fun... I would love to have some experience in a project site, let's hope I get the chance to do so. I will be going to Astro for a support role next week, I don't really like it but it's better not to choose in this kind of bad economy situation... =/

So, back to the topic, a TVB series review.

珠光宝气 - The Gem of Life

The Gem of Life, a TVB series which has 82 episodes, recently showed on Astro on Demand. It's a series which has lots of famous actor and actresses, everyone has been looking forward to the release of this show since the preview was shown to the public. I am one of them too, expecting it to be filled with lots of dramas and emotions.

Being a long series, it took around 4 months to finish the show. At the start of the show, the introduction was good, get to see the rich people's world. It's interesting to learn about diamonds too! =p However, things starts to slow down a little in the middle of the series and it became quite boring. The story became very dry because things are very predictable and draggy at the same time. Since it's already half way through, I thought I should just continue on, hoping for the story to pick up on the climax. It changed for a little but the ending is really dull and meaningless...

I felt that it is a total waste of my time to watch this series for so long, just to get to such a dull ending, without any drama, fights or emotions involved. I felt disappointed. Although the settings and the scenes of the series are great and all, the storyline ruins everything. I think they shouldn't make the series that long and have a totally different ending where the bad guys get punished and the good guys get rewarded, at least put in some actions.

Due to the super hot weather this whole week, my mood has been bad, don't have any motivation for anything... It's unbearable, I wish that I have an air conditioner here. =(

To worsen the situation, the internet connection speed is acting up again. *sigh* Since this morning, I can't seems to load most of the websites like Facebook, even Google is slow, what is happening again this time?

Problem occur every few months, I am tired of this... They will take ages to fix the problem and then not too long before something else break down. Totally sucks!

Valentine's Day 2009 @ Mid Valley

It's gonna rain soon, office is becoming colder... The weather changes so easily now, yesterday was so hot and now it's pouring already. Anyway, a short update on my Valentine's night. =p

It was a rather simple one and we spent our night in MV. We didn't plan much since we don't really like to be overcharged and go to crowded places with everyone else. We reached MV around 5 something then walked around the mall, there isn't so many people like some other weekends, guess everyone else is somewhere else...

There's a lot of jewelry promotions going on in the mall and I still see so many people at the cashier and everyone around me is talking about economic crisis? Hmm... Weird. I asked EdeNz to get me something but he said he will save the money and get me one next time, haha... XD

We went San Francisco Steakhouse for dinner, ordered their Valentine's Dinner Set. It comes with a soup, a crab cake, grilled cod fish as the main course and chocolate fudge with Vanilla ice cream as dessert. The soup is not that nice because it was not hot enough, the crab cake was just normal. The main dish is nice and filling. I am already full half way trying to finish the dish haha... The dessert is nice, I love the Vanilla ice cream hehe...

Valentine's present for this year...

After dinner we walk around again, since both of us are so full... Pass by some stalls and EdeNz finally decided to buy me a simple bracelet haha... Just a cheap one though, maybe I can get something better on my birthday, hehehehe... XD

Pet Society has released more items this week, after the whole bunch of lovely Valentine's items especially the flowers. This week the items are more general and it's people's choice week! It was based on the survey that they asked us to do weeks back... Also, the shop items are all rearranged, it looks so much tidier right now and it's easy to browse.

Pizza hits the food store this week, we can buy either a slice or the whole pizza for party! Quite cool, I am sure many people would love it.

Now the house is forever cooling. =p There are 3 new portraits as well from the different Playfish games, I think they look much better than the school girl one, haha... I would love to get one of those for Talye.

ROC's Gathering @ Jogoya, Starhill

The Internet connection right now sucks... I can barely load any pages and it's so slow! Yesterday was worst, I was planning to update my blog yesterday night but couldn't do it because my telephone line was cut off for some maintenance which I don't know what is it all about... =( I got my line back right now but I can't even go to Facebook, it sucks... Hope this matter can be solved quick else I will go crazy during the weekends...

Back to the point anyway...

The last big event for my CNY this year is ROC's guild gathering at Jogoya last Saturday, it was fun and it's nice to meet everyone again, although I am not really updated about things but I still enjoy listen to all the exciting stories, haha...

Outside Starhill.

CNY Party in front of Pavilion, so many goodies bags!

We reached Starhill around 5.45pm, caught in a huge crowd of people on the way because there was a celebration at Pavilion and everyone is camping out... Met up with some guys then went into the restaurant. It was quite early that time so not many people are there yet, including the leaders, haha... XD Well, we help ourselves with the food... Looked around and I think the only good thing there is the desserts... Other food are pretty normal to me, it can be found in any Japanese buffet, nothing special at all.

We started with some sashimi, it's just okay... could be better. Later, we explore the fried dishes, the scallops, the oysters... Tried pretty much all the food that we think it's interesting. Too bad there are some food that is only for VIPs and we can't have them, those dishes look so much better! After a while, we move on to the desserts, ate quite a lot of them actually. Chocolate cookies, tiramisu and ice cream! I love those but too bad I couldn't eat that much on the day because I wasn't feeling too well.

We eat and chat until everyone is satisfied then we hang out in Starhill a little longer, since it's such a rare chance for people to meet up and talk, I bet everyone can go on and on all night, haha... After a group photo session, some of them went for clubbing and the others like me went home. I was pretty tired and sleepy already at that time.

Wonderful fireworks in the air...

On the way back to our car, we saw fireworks in the sky! It's so close and so big, totally amazing. This is my first time looking at the fireworks at such close distance and it's beautiful... What a memorable way to end this gathering. I do hope we will have more gatherings in the future... Let's just see how the guild future will turn out.

Valentine's Day is next Saturday, some are looking forward to it, some hate it...

Nevertheless, Pet Society released some cute items for V-Day in the mystery boxes already! =) I bet there would be more in-shop items next Monday and I am sure those items will be as cute as other items as well, I am definitely looking forward to it and have been saving some coins to buy those V-Day items for my pet Talye. XD

As for now, there are 3 items in the mystery boxes for us to play with.

Love Heart Lava Lamp and Love Heart Candle is the new addition to Golden Mystery Box.

More and more people is buying the mystery boxes just to get the special items, sometimes it's kinda hard to keep up since a lot of coins are needed if your luck isn't exactly great like mine. =( I will definitely try to get my hands on these items especially the lava lamp. I think it's a very good decoration for Talye's princess bedroom. =p

Besides new items, there's also a Valentine's Day Competition for all players to join and win prizes. All you need to do is to create a romantic scene for Valentine's Day and you stand a chance to get your scene displayed on the Pet Society site. A very interesting competition, after all this game is about decorate and creating nice scenes. =) Details can be found here on the forum, try it if you have time.

I am kinda sleepy right now lol... and don't really know what to write but then gotta find something to do else I will fell asleep. =/

Chinese New Year is quite nice for me, besides going to Singapore, I meet up with friends and stuff... had a few meals, shopped a lot... I have one more dinner with another bunch of friends this Saturday, looking forward to it. =) I have yet to open my angpaus, wonder if the amount is same as last year or not, hmm... XD I plan to open up everything after this weekend, which is Chap Goh Mei (元宵节). Lucky for us this year that Monday is a holiday due to Thaipusam, yay!

I have been watching a lot of TVB dramas this holiday, really a lot... I will update on that with another post another day, when I have the mood. =p Watching show is good, relaxing and no thinking at all, but still can be tiring since I gotta face the computer the whole day. I wish I could have a big nice TV just to sit at home and watch dramas whole day long haha... That would be sooooo nice! Lazy me...

Career issues have been popping up in my head again lately, I am quite bored being stuck here right now, doing nothing... I can't stand have such routine everyday and this isn't a good thing either... I want to go out of my field of specialty and move on to something else that I think I might be interested in, but it's not that easy. I tried to hunt for jobs but the requirements doesn't match well, kinda lost at what should I do... I don't think I want to continue in this field anymore, bored of it since long time ago but it seems to me that I don't have a choice. I am clueless already, what should I do?

I wish to forget all these problems and have fun in my own little world...

Since I was a kid, I always look forward to Chinese New Year, that's one of the happiest holiday in a year... you get to wear new clothes, eat lots of sweets and cookies, get lots of angpau and you can play whole day! Yup, I really love Chinese New Year back then.

Mobile Suits Gundam 00

MY CNY holidays starts today, I love holidays because I can sleep till noon and no one will disturb. =p Hehe... today was okay, doing the usual stuff and enjoying my free time. I'm not gonna sleep so early today I guess, but I thought of updating my blog first, hehe...

Gundam Meisters - Pilot of the 4 powerful mobile suits.

One of the anime series I watched recently, Gundam 00, is really amazing. This series was in my HDD for quite sometime already and I don't really plan to watch it anyway, I thought it was some boring robot fights... It turns out to be something very interesting, similar to Code Geass, it talks about war, conflicts, politics, human relationship, the world is changing...

The story starts around somewhere in the future when oil became exhausted and human found a new energy source, the solar power. There are 3 superpowers which own three huge solar power system, The Union which is the USA, AEU which is made up of European countries and HRL which consist of China, Russia and India... As the 3 superpowers keep fighting each other, a group of people known as Celestial Being stand out and wants to eradicate war through force. This group of people possess four very powerful mobile suits (A robot that is used for fighting in war) named Gundam. All actions began with the armed interventions of the Gundams around the world.

There are a lot of fighting between robots in this anime, it's nice to watch all the cool animation and stuff, but personally... I still prefer the way Code Geass's robots fight. XD In this anime, people die so often, seems like life is so fragile that you won't know when it will be taken away. There's no happily-ever-after ending for this anime, both good people and bad people died, sad but true, that's what happen in our real world too, isn't it?

I like the anime, the story is interesting but a bit complicated because it involves a lot of characters and parties... Guess I tried to watch the whole series in one day and got myself confused, lol... But it's still very interesting to know how the story goes on... It's now in second season already, still yet to complete but many unexpected events happen, makes me want to know more. Of course, I do hope someday this world can become peaceful, but is that even possible? A world without conflict, human unite as one? Hmm... Seems it's not gonna happen to me.

Series Craze

First update of this week, hehe... Was too busy with a lot of series, both TVB and anime for the past few days since the weekend. =p Maybe I should put up some reviews on the series I watched, haha...

I managed to finish Gundam 00 during the weekends, I didn't plan to pick up this anime at first, but I was too bored on Friday, so I tried the first episode and got hooked after that... 25 episodes is not that long, but to process and understand the series is hard within such a short time. The series is quite confusing at first, since I don't really know what Gundam actually is and what the whole series is about... I rewatched the first few episodes to just understand the whole flow properly, haha... But I still like Code Geass more than Gundam 00, the robots in Code Geass looks much nicer and more powerful. XD

Sunday was a really busy day for me, I also managed to went shopping in Mid Valley, bought a few stuff... and the mall is packed with people everywhere, don't really like to stay there too long, it's too noisy... =/ But it's good that I bought something for Chinese New Year. =) Gotta start saving and stop spending because I plan to get my new PC end of February or early March, depending on the pricing at that time, maybe I should wait for PC fair? Hmm... Will think about it later...

Monday is back to work day, I was so tired and sleepy the entire day, didn't do much except for watching Heroes, I got it quite long ago but didn't have the mood to watch the series, but managed to finish 2 episodes on Monday, pretty amazing. =p The story was ok, nothing too exciting but not too boring either... New season is coming out on 2nd Feb, I better get the rest of the episodes for this season and watch them as soon as possible, while I have the interest to. =p

Yesterday, I was having migraine again... It sucks. =( Slept for almost half of the day... I managed to complete Minami-ke Okawari series download, watched the first episode but it was quite boring, compared to Season 1... I love Season 1 very much, really funny series from the beginning to the end, heard that the second season sucks, but I still wish to watch it just to know what's happening, season 3 is continuing and seems to be a lot more better, so hopefully it would be another great series to catch. =D

My CNY holiday starts tomorrow, yet to plan what to do for the rest of 2 weeks, I guess I will be continuing my series and stuck in front of my comp, as usual... Haha... Got to look for more interesting stuff to do as well... Anywhere nice and not expensive to visit? =p

Finally it's Friday! Haha...

Well, nothing much to say, I guess I would have more to say after my busy weekend, it's gonna be CNY soon, yay! For now, just another update on Pet Society. =p

More cute stuff!

New mysterious items is found in Golden Mystery Boxes since yesterday, I guess they are trying to get more and more people addicted to the application and buy more coins to spend on the boxes. It all depends on luck whether you need a lot of boxes to get the new items or not, it's not so easy for an unlucky person like me... Hmm, let's hope the items stay in the boxes long enough for me to collect them all. It's too cute to resist, especially the dress which looks very similar to Snow White's dress. =p

Longer room now...

Besides having new items, our room's length have been extended by a bit, allowing us to place more stuff in the room. Well, it's a good thing but now I have to look for more stuff to put in my rooms and readjust my furniture... More excitement @ Pet Society!

Boo!

Updating my blog seems to be a routine for me now, haha... Well, as long as I have things to write I don't mind. XD Still remember Pet Society from this entry of mine last month? Well, this Facebook application is getting more exciting every week!

There's whole range of new items coming out for fans / addicts like us to decorate and play with our pet every week and all of them are so cute and beautiful! (Probably suits girl's taste more) I could never get bored of it, seeing how my friends decorate their houses and dress up their pets in the most creative ways.

Kitchen items for this week, cute!

This week, there's a whole series of kitchen furniture following the release of bathroom items last week, I think this is great, a house can never be complete without a nice kitchen right? and the utensils as well, love them a lot. Although it costs quite a bit, I just have to visit friends and race hurdles, save the coins day by day, I should be able to get all the items I want by end of this week. =)

Besides furniture, there's also 2 new sets of dresses for my pet, a school uniform and a wedding dress, both are lovely but the wedding dress is kinda expensive, so I gotta save and save my coins to buy it together with the tiara. =) I have bought the school uniform set though, and my pet is wearing it happily, hehe..., hopefully there will be more pretty dress for my pet next week, I love seeing Talye in different dresses, running around the rooms in my house. =p A blue rug is out in the D.I.Y. store too, matches the school uniform color really well, haha...

Items in Golden Mystery Box, pretty!

Oh, and more new stuff into the addictive expensive mystery boxes, a pink fridge (Yay!), a princess rug (Wonderful!) and a white cabinet! These items are so cute and pretty, makes everyone spent all the coins buying the mystery box trying to get one of those... I guess I can't do it this week, because I gotta buy new items which is in the shop for this week only first before trying my luck with the boxes. (Needs lots of luck!) Hehe...

Cooking Mama @ NDS

Although I bought a Nintendo DS Lite some time last year, I didn't really share any stories about it, so let me start with introducing one of my favorite game, Cooking Mama. =)

There are 2 versions of Cooking Mama for DS Lite - Cooking Mama and Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with friends, there are also 2 other versions for Wii but I don't own a Wii so... =( Cooking Mama is a cooking game, as expressed by the game name, it's cute and entertaining, best of all, it's not time consuming and it's not very hard to learn and master the "cooking" skills. It only take me one or a few tries to get 100 points for the dishes I "cooked". =p You can also create your own recipe by combining a few process and make a brand new dish, then share with friends online, it's fun isn't it? (I didn't manage to try this feature though...)

The second version is nicer, of course, with enhanced animation, more cooking tools and processes and more new dishes to play with! And there are also more character to cook / play with in the second version, I spent a few minutes whenever I have time to play DS to learn a dish and master it, and finally unlocked all the dishes around 2 months back for both versions. =)

Everyone should try this game, it's simple and entertaining, best of all, it's free because you can download NDS games easily from the net, my games are normally downloaded by EdeNz from Romulation. Easy!

Pages of Treasures

Boo!

Another week, another Monday... hate Mondays, gotta wake up so early to work. =( Weekend passed by so fast, I felt that I barely do anything, maybe 'cos I was hooked up with another TVB series, Pages of Treasures (Click入黄金屋).

It was on AOD not too long back but I didn't download it at that time, just finished downloaded from torrent after a week, so my weekend is dedicated to finish off the series, haha... An entertaining show, not too long as well, I like this kind of show 'cos it doesn't waste too much of my time... =p

I enjoyed this series, it's relaxing and entertaining since it's a comedy series, very focused on family concept. The series revolve around a family of five members and each of their stories. A dad that love to read and has been working in a bookstore for around 30 years, later on had a bookstore of his own because of his elder son. The elder son was away from the family for many years because he worked overseas just to pay the education fees for his younger brother and the brother is a successful IT security person graduated from US. They have a younger sister too, which is in high school. Each of them has their own stories, relationship and career wise, so the story is not too long because everyone character gets some attention and the whole series is balanced up and not too focused on one person.

I would recommend you to watch if you don't mind spending time for a comedy which is 20 episodes long. =) The best part is you don't have to subscribe anything or spend time to download them if you can get it from me, haha... I have it in my little HDD just for sharing and to keep in case if one day I would like to watch the series again, though I don't think I will because there are so many nice new series, right? XD

New Windows Live Messenger

Time for another update, this time something more interesting I guess. =)

Today when I login to my MSN I receive an e-mail asking me to try out the new Windows Live Messenger. I have saw EdeNz using it already, like a month ago when it was in Beta and it looks cool, so I downloaded it... It took quite a while though...

It's worth it, the new messenger has new scenes to choose from, better than the backgrounds! There are quite a few choices of scenes right now, some are pretty, some are cute and some are cool. I am sure they will add more in the future and I look forward to it! Just hope that they won't start charging like the moving display pictures and winks...

I also noticed that they show different colors based on your contacts' status on the list... Green is for 'Available', Red for 'Busy', Orange for 'Away' and White for 'Offline'... That's the four colors I have on my list right now, the colors are also at the person's display picture when you chat with him/her.

Get your messenger updated and try it yourself, it's nice! XD

Just Thinking...

Ah well, I am bored right now, don't know what to do and I happen to load my own blog, staring at the cute snails... So I thought I should just write something, although I don't know what. =/

Things has been changing ever since I rolled off from my project and come back to KLCC. I got up around 6 everyday (so early right?) and then took LRT to work (I have a car but...) and for once I reached office way earlier than I am supposed to (weird!), then I also go home as early as 5pm everyday (the sun is still bright when I leave...)... Such a big change in my daily routine, I am yet to get used to it because I am definitely not a morning or early person... =/

I have been thinking about my work since few weeks back, close friends of mine should know that I don't really like to do technical stuff which is my current job... But I am still undecisive on what I should do, should I just go hunt for something I like or should I just hang on for now? There's so many things to think about before choosing what to do... like what do I really enjoy doing? I don't know if I would get bored of it again in the future, I can't always change and start over right? And the economy situation right now is not the best time to switch jobs around and be choosy... There's so many "what-ifs" running in my head, I couldn't decide on anything, I don't know what should I do...

I wish someone could tell me an answer and show me a way out of this puzzle, this is frustrating... A nice long sleep would help although it won't solve the problem, I wish my bed is right here now, lol...

I should find something interesting to write about tomorrow, since I am not having much to do in the office these days... Let's see... XD

So, it's 2009 now! Happy New Year! (Kinda late I know...)

Well, I have just changed my blog layout, new year new layout, sound good right? Haha... This layout was downloaded from BTemplates, although I changed the sidebar a little, hehe... I love the snails, they are cute and it has a light background which is better for reading. =)

I know I have been neglecting my blog since months back, I just don't have the mood to blog anymore, I wonder why... and also I am pretty busy with stuff lately ya know... But I will try to update as often as possible now, maybe I could because I just finished a project and is now back at KLCC office.

Let's see some of the things I have done recently...

Got addicted to yet another Facebook Application - Pet Society. - This thing is really cute and interactive you know... =p
Signed up for gym. - Well, gotta keep going and be more healthy! and maybe I might be able to slim down a little...
Watched lots of TVB series. - Found a good place to download newest TVB series on AOD, so it's drama time! Hehe...
Worked for a year! - Yes, I have already worked for a year, I wonder what did I achieved?

and many other normal stuff like shopping, watching anime, eating expensive japanese food, etc... Never had a single weekend being bored and got nothing to do, I just got busier! Why do time pass by so fast during the weekends? I barely have any time left to do anything else... *sigh*

Hmm, new year resolutions? I don't really want to have any, it sucks if I can't do it, so better not haha... But I do love to aim for a few things to be done soon in this year, so here goes...

Get a new PC. - my laptop is dying on me and I really want a PC 'cos it's easier and cheaper to upgrade or fix in the future and I don't really have to bring my PC to anywhere else anymore.
Get a new Phone. - I finally found a phone that I like... N85, it's really expensive right now so I have to wait.
Save some money. - I practically spent whatever I have earned for the past one year, so gotta start saving now before it's too late.
Go travel. - This is kinda clashing with saving money but I really like visiting places around the world, Japan is always my dream because I like their culture and stuff... Too much anime? Haha!
Slim down? - Well, depends on my mood I guess, haha!

Okay I think that's about all the things I wish to do, maybe I should check this post back on 2010, right? Haha... That's all for now.

Hopefully it will be a great year ahead! XD

It's yet another pet application on Facebook, I find it cute, fun and very interactive. XD I feel it's really different, you can dress up your pet, style him/her, decorate your own house with furniture and stuff... So it's really really cute and it's up to a person's imagination to build up a cute house for the pet to live in, cool right? Haha...

I'm sick again! =( Flu... I hate it, my nose is blocked and it's very hard to breath... Hopefully it won't take too long to cure. Before I go to bed and rest for the day, let's talk about some yummy food again! Something new this time... Taiwanese Restaurant!

Haha, EdeNz and I were shopping at Mid Valley and we somehow decided to try this restaurant which is forever packed and there's always people queuing up at the entrance whenever we passed by. It's a Taiwanese restaurant called Fong Lye, located just opposite of Sushi Zanmai and Borders on the top floor of The Gardens.

Since the restaurant is forever packed, the waiter don't really stand there and serve us, wait for us to order or introduce us some signature dishes. We are given the menu and a piece of paper to write down our order instead. We took our time to browse through the menu, since it's our first time eating here, wish to order something really good and worth the time and money. XD

We start with having Sweet Potato balls, I see almost every table ordered one, so I thought it should be good and it does taste fantastic. =D Not too sweet and it smells good! The bad thing about this is there's a lot in one bowl, 2 people can't possibly finish all of them, we "tapau-ed" it back home in the end, just like everyone else that ordered, hahaha... =p

EdeNz picked one of the signature dish, marked with big chef sign on the menu... Fish with Tomato sauce! It comes with rice and some side dishes and soup as well, good right? Hehe, this dish totally rocks, although I don't fancy tomato sauce food, I love the sauce! I wonder what they put, the sauce taste so good that you will probably want to lick the bowl clean, haha...

I ordered one of my favorite all time, mini steamboat. =) Although it's called mini steamboat, it's not mini at all. I spent 2 hours plus to finish everything, with the help of EdeNz. I think you can share this set for two and both of you will still end up feeling extremely full. The soup is really sweet, cooked with white cabbage and yam, they give me tofus, prawns, crabsticks, meatballs dumplings and stuff... So many so many, with glass noddle too!

Chinese Tea, the best of all drinks.

Not to forget... our drinks! We go for the traditional tea, Oolong with Jasmine, taste good, smells good, love the tea a lot... I don't remember how many times we refilled the teapot, but I just like to enjoy having chinese tea during a meal and after a meal, it helps to wash down the oily stuff and the fragrance is just perfect. =)

When we leave the restaurant, there are still people queuing up outside, amazing isn't it? I should have tried this restaurant earlier, such great food, how could I miss it! And you know what? The next day we went Mid Valley again, meet up with Matt and had our dinner at this restaurant again! Haha... no pictures for that one, but the meal was wonderful as well. I am looking forward to visit again, gotta try all the dish there, everything looks sooooo delicious!

Boo!

Another month passed, it's year end already... time really flies. =/ I am pretty tired right now, but I guess I gonna update my blog first before sleeping, since I have a lot of stuff to share. =D Let's start with yummy fooooood!

Sometime few weeks back, EdeNz, Matt, Bombie and I went Genting for vacation and decided to have our dinner at Torcello's... which means western fooood. =p It's located at the middle of First World Plaza and it's pretty nice, surrounded by water....

I wonder why there's a Sheriff badge there...

We all went with the set dinner, just different main course, lamb, chicken and fish. For starters, we have soup of the day and some buns, also salad. The soup is pretty good, with some veges inside, I forgot what soup is that already though, haha... The salad was ok, but could be better if the veges are colder....

Then, we have our main dish. Bombie and Matt had lamb, EdeNz took chicken and I chose fish. The dish is the pretty much the same, it's just the meat that is different. I like the sauce they used, mixed well with all kind of meat, pretty special. =)

After the main course, we are served with coffee and tea, all of us are pretty full already, so we just chit chat and enjoy the drink and the scenery... and the girls, hahaha...

Fell like want to blog today, so here I am. =p I noticed that my recent blog entries are either about movies or sushi, I guess everyone that is reading is already bored of them? Lol... But that's the stuff I do during weekends, besides watching anime, TVB series or fluffing. Oh, fluffing means playing (fluff) Friends on Facebook by the way... So, what should I write today?

Well actually I already planned to write on another movie that I watched last weekend, hehe... But I am definitely looking forward to the coming long weekend due to Deepavali holiday on Monday. I am also going out on Saturday, watching movie again haha... So maybe the next entry will be movie talk again. =/

So, which movie did I watch last week? It's The House Bunny, a comedy show which I think it's good, since I laughed quite a lot haha...

I don't know how to comment on comedy movies really... As long as the movie made me laugh a lot and at the end of the show, I feel happy, I am satisfied. Well, I can't imagine watching a comedy without laughing at all and become moody after that, right? XD

So... This movie starts with a 27 year old girl being kicked out of the Playboy Mansion, then she came across this gang of geeks coincidentally and from there, she learn a lot of things that she will never see if she didn't leave the mansion. All the jokes are mainly focus on this blonde girl, since blonde jokes are always funny, as they are labelled "dumb" all the time, lol...

The story goes on and on, how she started to teach this bunch of weirdos to become beautiful and attractive, then help them gain popularity in the university. It's so much fun being a university student, from what I see in the movie lol... I definitely missed my studying life a lot, though I am not sure if I would want to be a student again.

The movie isn't too long, has a happy ending and there you go, you will be smiling happily and thinking of the jokes and laugh for the rest of the day, haha... That's what a comedy is for right?

Senjyu Sushi @ Sunway Pyramid

More updates! Haha, I am kinda bored right now, don't know what to do... Facebook is loading kinda slow, I don't know why, so I thought, "Why not update my blog?" Alright, so what I've got to write this time... Another weekend passed, so fast and it's already October! I can't believe that I have been working for 10 months already, soon it's gonna be a year. It makes me wonder if all these is really what I want... I will leave this topic for another time, probably when I have some answers. So, let me share more sushi photos with you. =p

Sometime last month, EdeNz and I happen to spot this new Japanese Restaurant at Sunway Pyramid when we were hanging out there, it looks pretty cool from the outside and that's attracting me to go in and have another sushi experience. XD Let me introduce you, Senjyu Sushi. Such a special name, right? Haha... It's located opposite A&W, where Genki Sushi used to be. I have no idea why Genki Sushi closed down, I love that place but well, it doesn't hurt to try this new restaurant out. =p

So we sat down, look at the menu, order some nice looking food and start taking pictures of everywhere and everything, lol... There's isnt much customers that night, perhaps due to its expensive look. (It's expensive btw...) We weren't very hungry that night, so we didn't order a lot, just a few stuff which is pretty good.

Salmon sashimi, very expensive for just 3 pieces, but the sensation is great, cannot be described with my limited vocabulary. =p Well, it's really good!

Then we have Charcoal Soba, it's cold and it's really smooth and yummy. XD

Hmm, this is salmon and fish roe roll, I forgot the name but I know it's tasty... The feeling of salmon melting in your mouth and the fish roe popping and mixing together, just perfect! =D

We had a few more normal sushi, no pictures because I forgot to take. =p Haha... The food is good, but it's kinda pricey. I don't know if I'll visit again but it's definitely a good dinner that night and I am satisfied with such delicious Japanese meal.

Maybe I should start learning Japanese and move to Japan one day, so I can taste all the delicious Japanese cuisine, or maybe cook some myself someday, haha... Because all these meals is making my wallet and bank account painful, really. =p

Eagle Eye, watching you from everywhere...

It's been a month since the last update, just too lazy nowadays... =/ and also busy fluffing playing (fluff) friends. =p There are a few things to update actually, but I am kinda lazy right now too, so maybe next time lol. But then, September was quite a good month, I went sushi hunting a few times, went Genting with Matt and Bombie too... In the end, spent so much more than I expected. =(

Anyway, I just watched this nice movie with EdeNz on Friday, it's pretty cool... Eagle Eye. At first, I had no idea what this movie is all about, I just booked the tickets since EdeNz want to watch this and I am kinda bored at home during the long holiday last week... Well, I am glad that I did watch this. =p

It's an action movie but there are some comedy elements in it too, so it's not too boring. I am pretty amused by how they actually potray the story, it totally attracted me, since I don't have a clue what is it all about. XD The show has cool computer systems, AI and stuff... How good if those exist in reality, it's gonna be cool, it will help us in all sort of things, if used properly though...

Back to the movie, it's about a computer system which is very intellegent and powerful named Aria, used in military stuff basically... Then due to some program logic problem, the computer system wants to kill all the important people like the President and such, so these people who know about it have to stop her, it's really hard since she can basically track anyone down using cameras, cellphones or any device which can send signals out. Sound dangerous huh. =p The movie has a happy ending of course, main character as the hero and manage to save everyone and then everything goes back to normal...

It's a new movie so it should be in cinema for a while, go watch it while it's there, because it's really cool! XD

After the movie we went steamboat with Matt and Bombie at Yuen's, my favorite, hehe... We cook, we eat, we chat... until everyone is full and satisfied. =) Went back home after that, totally exhausted that day but I had fun! The best day during this holiday, but I am kinda sad it's Sunday already, because it means it's back to work tomorrow. =( I really really love to sleep till noon, wake up, chit chat, fluff, play, eat... No worries, no stress, no problems... Just like a kid. =D

Sushi Zanmai @ The Gardens

Quick update on another sushi meal that I recently had with EdeNz and Matt at Sushi Zanmai @ The Gardens, Mid Valley. There are really a lot of people while we were there, we were lucky that there's a spot for us, the restaurant was full all the time and people are queuing up outside, proves that the food here is really delicious. XD

A happy experience, not super expensive ans it's enjoyable! Nothing is more fun than eating delicious food and sharing them with friends. =D Anyone want to join the next food outing? XD

Another week passed, seems that I did lots of things, but looks like I did very little... I still have lots of stuff that I wanted to do at home and outside, but the wonderful weekend has just ended. Oh well... Look forward to the next I guess?

I went out for shopping, food and movie on Saturday with EdeNz and Matt, I wanted to do this earlier but all the weekends are packed. =| So, let's start with the movie. We watched Wall-E, cute animation movie by from Disney and Pixar. =)

Before I watch this movie, I read some nice review from friends and stuff, so I am really interested and it didn't disappoint me. =) This show is really nice, very meaningful, cute and funny at the same time.

Wall-E is a robot left at Earth to clean up the mess left by humans, then one day Eve, another robot, came along to look for life on Earth and they meet. Things happened in between and their relationship grew. Robots in love, amazing right? Hahaha... Then the story move on to show how humans has became too obsessed and cannot do anything without the help of robots. In the end, they realise that Earth is their home and finally decided to go back... Faced problems with the robots which tries to stop them from returning... Then happy ending as usual, everyone is back on earth and try to make the planet a beautiful place again. =D

I wonder if there's any chance of such things happening in real? Since we are relying on robots so much already and our Earth is getting more and more poluted every single day. Hmm...

Anyway, it's really a nice show to watch... Highly recommended as it is very enjoyable, happy happy, cute cute, funny funny and lovely lovely. =p

Busy Weekends...

Kinda bored right now at work, so might as well visit my blog... I haven't been updating my blog 'cos there's nothing much to write, or should I say I don't have the mood to write anything, lol...

The past 2 weekends have been very busy for me, I went to Damai Laut, Lumut on a company trip... It's by the beach just opposite Pangkor Island. The beach there is not that nice and it's quite dirty since there are so many annoying flies around, haha... It's very hot too. The resort is ok though, quite big and it's comfortable. There are some activities like banana boat and kayak there, but I didn't play any because the sea is really dirty, makes me no mood to play. =(

The last Saturday, which just passed by, is my convocation day... After a year since I finish my course, haha... Went to Renaissance Hotel for the event, lots of people are there, get to see my college friends too. Just that the aircond there sux... It was super hot even when we were in the ballroom. =( The function is a pretty simple one, got my "scroll" (it's empty lol) and then that's it. After that there are refreshments and everyone is busy taking photos here and there.

I will definitely go out to have my own time this weekend, shopping, movie, food... Kinda bored at home sometimes, since I don't know what to do and don't have the mood... Hehe...

Back to work I guess, haha...

Ranch Rush

Before I sleep, I just want to share a nice game here, I was playing almost all the time today. Simple but exciting. The game is called Ranch Rush, a single player RPG game, similar to Dinner Dash if anyone is familiar with that popular game. =)

Basically, the game is a story about a farm girl who tries to save the farm, so she started to plant different plants to sell away for money. There's a few levels in the game, each level will intrduce new plants or new stuff in the game, making it very interesting. You have to fulfill the customer's request within a time limit, that's how you earn enough every level.

I have yet to finish the game, but I love it. It's quite fast paced, so it wouldn't be boring. =p The graphics are cool, the music and sound effects are nice as well, not annoying or boring, haha... Sushi Zanmai @ Sunway Pyramid

Recently, I got attached to Mario Party DS which is very entertaining, wish we had another DS Lite so we can have a multiplayer game. Lol.

Long time since I posted some yummy food, so here it is! My dining experience at Sushi Zanmai @ Sunway Pyramid on our anniversary. =) Overall, it's a nice experience and the cost is lesser than expected, so it's all good.

My first experience with Sushi Zanmai is at The Gardens, Mid Valley, and that was great! I would say I prefer that outlet than this one in Sunway Pyramid, the environment there is much nicer. =p Maybe it's because there wasn't much customers around when I visit the one at The Gardens, hehe...

Anyway, we ordered quite a lot of dishes... Starting off with my favourite Ikura Cawanmushi. I have always love Cawanmushi and I always get one at any Japanese restaurant I go to... This cawanmushi is the best among all because it has lots of Ikura, salmon fish roe, which I love a lot as well. The taste mixed really well and I love the feeling of the fish roe popping in your mouth, that juicy and salty fish roe goes well with the egg smell. XD

Unagi Don.

Next up is Unagi rice which is one of my favourite dish as well, I love unagi and they are really expensive, right? Haha... I like that strong taste of unagi but not too salty, taste perfect with the rice and some Tamago (fried egg). Simply wonderful and it's a must try for Unagi lovers.

Sushi.

Then, we have something ordinary like baby octopus and salmon sushi while waiting for more stuff to come... Their sushi taste good and worth the price because the salmon is really big that it covered the whole rice neatly and won't fall off easily. The best part is that it melts in your mouth and goes well with the sushi rice. XD

More sushis and rolls coming up... Our favourite Ikura with salmon, just perfect! I would have ordered more of these if I still can eat, haha... I love the texture of the salmon, so soft and the Ikura which is juicy makes the salmon even nicer...

Soft shell crab roll, one of the popular dishes at any Japanese restaurant, the soft shell crab is very crispy which is good, you can feel it when you chew on it. =p

Then we have this special sushi roll, I forgot the name but it's really good... Big piece of salmon with crabstick, egg and cucumber inside, topped with a little fish roe... Wow! Simply winderful, you can feel the softness of the salmon fish melting, the crispy and cold cucumber with some salty taste from the fish roe, all mixed together... Just too nice to describe like that, haha!

We also had grilled scallops but EdeNz's phone ran out of battery so I can't take any pictures, that was great as well, I love the ingredients they use, I don't know what are they but it brings out the taste of the scallops well, together with some mushrooms as well. =) I love this dish and I will order again if I have the chance to visit this restaurant again.

After that, we had our dessert, waffle vanilla ice cream with thin chocolate pieces in between. The ice cream isn't too sweet and the chocolate adds taste to the plain vanilla ice cream, I love it. =) The best thing is the ice cream didn't melt even after we put it there for a while. =p

This place is really good, it's filled with customers even on a Monday night, imagine that... The service are good as well, no stupid waiters or stuff like that... Maybe just a little noisy since the restaurant is fully occupied whole night. I would love to visit again some other time for another round of great food!

Wanted

It's been a while again, hehe... Busy with some other stuff and I have been out quite a lot lately, so I have lots of things to write about! Let's start with a movie review, Wanted. XD I watched this movie with EdeNz one weekend, since we both are kinda bored at home on Sunday afternoon, it was hot as well, lol... Good thing that a cinema is just nearby hehe...

So, Wanted is one of the movies that I am very itnerested in when I saw the trailer some time back... It's just too interesting and I wish to know more on how they shoot bullets which can curve, haha... Also, you get to see Angelina Jolie in action, I like her acting, somehow got attracted by here as well lol. =p

It's about a group of assasins who has extraordinary skills in shooting, fighting, healing, driving, etc... Everything needed to kill someone. The story starts with a conflict between members of the group and goes on with how they hunt down the guy who betrayed the group. It ended with a twist to the story, the bad guy isn't that bad and the good guy is not that good after all.

What attracts me to watch this movie is the technology and skills shown, though it's fake, but still very interesting to see. Their actions are good as well, not super exaggerating, still acceptable to me. I guess things happen and explain in the movie are not possible in real life, if not it would be too powerful, isn't it? Lol... The storyline is just normal, nothing special... But it's really a nice movie to watch if you like to see extraordinary stuff and some good fighting scenes. =)

I don't know if it's still in the cinema, but it's a good watch, EdeNz and I totally enjoyed the movie and I don't mind watching it again, hehe... XD

I intend to write this post last night but somehow I can't load any Google-related site including Blogger, it's either my Internet connection or Google's problem... Either way, this post is kinda like an advertisement. I'm going to reveal the small online project that I was working on last few months and I invite you to join us for fun, excitement and surprises if you like forums and discussions.

Yup, the thing I have been working on is a new community forum, aiming to provide a platform for everyone, particularly teenagers and young adults, to discuss on anything they want, meet new friends and build up a community to share knowledge and stuff.

The reason behind all these is that we, a bunch of good friends that met through a forum, love forums a lot and miss the old times where we can talk like there's no tomorrow on a forum together with other people around the world. It's really fun for me, I used to hooked up with forums and I can spend hours just to read what everyone wrote and reply them. So now, we are here, trying to build up the community again. =)

How do you spend your weekend?

Another weekend is passing by, it's midnight already... Time flies when it's fun... I just came back from shopping not long ago and have been chatting until now. I just realized that it's almost time for me to go to bed and a new week will come when I open my eyes, it's time to go to work again then. This weekend is quite a normal one for me, I didn't have any plans beforehand so time just passed by like that...

I spent lots of my free time on shows, from anime to TVB series. Just this weekend alone, I watched quite a few episodes of them, including 2 new animes introduced by friends, Special A and Soul Eater. They are on-going animes if I am not mistaken and it's recommended by my friends that's why I spent some time to take a look.

Special A is a comedy school life anime, I love this anime since the start of first episode. I am attracted by the graphics and school setting, simply love the characters and the background design. If you like Ouran High School Host Club, I am sure you would love Special A as well, since the school setting is similar and it's a comedy which has handsome guys and pretty girls. I will come back to talk about the anime some time later, currently at episode 11 and I can't wait for the next episode. =p Thanks Matt for recommending me such a good anime, hehe...

Soul Eater is recommended by a colleague of mine, saying that the story is good and it's funny. I have watched 2 episodes, the graphics are very unique, it has the western cartoons background settings but japanese style characters. I can't say much about the story yet since I only watched 2 episodes but the jokes are quite funny. XD

Other than watching shows, I have been playing DS Lite and (fluff) Friends on Facebook, then browsing forums and stuff... Although there's 24 hours in one day, it seems that I have only used up half of it, yet the day just went off like that... Feeling a bit bored today, I went shopping at Sunway Pyramid with EdeNz in the evening, out of the blue. =p I did bought some shirts after walking around the mall, didn't have any luck with shoes today, I wonder why haha... We had dinner at Kenny's Roger, I feel that the service is kinda bad here, understaffed. It's quite tiring to go shopping, used up all your mental energy when you walk the whole mall in 4 hours. XD Well, I'm glad that I went out, I would probably waste time lazing around if I stayed at home, it's nice to go out and enjoy during weekends, afterall that's the only time I can relax and enjoy myself, right?

I am definitely looking forward for a vacation, anywhere is fine as long as it's relaxing! Hehe... so now I'm wondering, how everyone else, especially working people, spend their precious weekend?

Just thought of writing something before going to sleep... After all, I have been neglecting my blog for some time already. =p Life has been pretty normal and monotonous for the pass few weeks. Busy working during the weekdays and staying at home during weekends. I have been watching TVB series since two weeks back during my weekends, that's the only free time I have right now...

Weekdays are just "wake up - go to work - come back home - dinner - TV - online - sleep" routine. Boring life isn't it? I guess my wish for having a flexible working lifestyle is gonna be difficult if I choose to continue with my job right now. I am not a hard working person, I know that very well, so I don't really know how long can I continue my work right now, I know I am not a great programmer at all, sometimes I just feel that I have chosen the wrong path to study IT in the first place. I like to have fun, I like to play, I like to enjoy...

Nowadays, I don't even feel like going shopping anymore, I wonder why... I just want to sleep and bum at home during weekends, simply because I am really really tired for the past five working days. I guess it's true that if you force yourself to do something that you have no interest in, you will get tired very fast but if you do something that you truly love, you wouldn't feel tired or boring even if you work for long hours.

I need some ways to balance my lifestyle else I gonna be crazy in no time, haha... A vacation would be great, but I don't know where to go and when can I go... Any great ideas?

Petrol Price Hike

It's not a happy day, but I just have some time, thought of writing something after so long... I have some photos from last weekend's outing but I will save them for later. =p

Yesterday evening, my colleagues suddenly start saying that petrol price will be increasing by 100% midnight, then everyone is busy discussing and came out with crazy ideas on how to save money for petrol, haha... Later in the day, there's news published online saying that the price will go up by 78 cents midnight, it's really a lot for me...

Many excuses or reasons given, but what the government don't understand is that, no matter what crap reasons are behind the sudden hike, the people's life is gonna get affected. In fact, I felt the effects really fast when I go home after work that night, I was caught in a huge jam just 2 minutes away from my house because there's a petrol station on the way. Everyone is trying to fill their tanks full, even until it spills out... That's crazy isn't it? I have seen people filling petrol in bottles and even tried to fill some in plastic bags, that's so dangerous... What if they don't handle the petrol properly and explosion happens? I spent 1 hour plus in the jam, in the end pumped some petrol as well since I have waited for so long. =/

Soon, we will see all food and other daily items will increase their prize, this make inflation worse and I still get paid the same salary. >_<>

I don't know what to say, I am just pretty sad about it but I got no choice and will need to deal with it no matter what, right?

I know I have been MIA'ed from my blog for quite a while, didn't get a suitable time to update my blog at all, even though I had holidays... Everyday's time is so packed, I still have so many things to do, yet so little time.

All I know is... I need a break, a long break, far away from everything. I just want to forget every single thing and have fun, relax, play to my heart content. To do that, I need to go somewhere, but where and when? My work schedule is so packed, I don't even know when can I take some time off because there are so many things coming up! Gosh! =(

Well, other than doing the normal stuff at home every weekend, there isn't any particular stuff that I could blog about, haven't been going out lately... So this weekend I am going out to release some stress as least! It has been sometime since I watched a movie, so I gonna check the cinemas out. =)
